I don't really want to get involved in the argument of hacking your game, but I think this statement is technically wrong. Due to copyright laws, intellectual property laws, user agreements, etc., you don't ever actually "own" the software you purchase. You just have the right to use the software. Am I wrong about this? There have been numerous court cases over this type of issue and for the most part the software companies almost always win.
The simplest method would definitely be to forge three of the same gems, or just buy them in the gem store. Regarding this hacking act, the game is yours sure, but there are more iAP that are not purchased, so you don't have access to it. We called this hacking because the chips are hacked. The gold is alright, the gems are alright. But the chips? It's impossible to get that without hacking. I myself use the gold glitch, but never in my life would I hack the game.
So it's ok to use a glitch to get gold instead of earning it or buying it via iap? How is that any different? You can earn battlechips in game....so if there was a glitch to get them instead of outright hacking would that be ok as well? Lets say there was a glitch that every time you completed an achievement and hit the collect button really fast 5 times it gave you 5 times the chips...would it be ok to exploit that glitch for massive battle chips. Lets take it a step further. Lets see iniblade (the hacker with massive chips) used that glitch to get all those chips. Would that be ok?
You obviously love hacking as long as you can put a spin on it. Let's stop playing games. Exploiting a glitch is still not hacking - whether the "glitch" was intended or not intended by the developers. Basically, hacking is illegally changing computer code for some means or advantage. One is a bug that someone found and the developers need to fix if it is not one they want in the game - the other is stealing. If you think they are the same, I'll visit you in jail the next time you get busted for stealing.
Who said I was hacking? Have you even been reading the convo? People were angry at some guy for hacking like he's some super villain when everyone here is exploiting glitches acting like their games are totally legit. If you guys hate hackers then stop exploiting bugs otherwise your no better then the hackers you hate so much. And they can't patch it out yet until they can update the games of the people who haven't upgraded to ios7. Your no better then the guys running around with infinite chips. And by definition glitch isn't a design choice otherwise it wouldn't be called a glitch or exploit lol. You guys crack me up. But there isn't any chip glitch. Exploiting glitches is alright if you don't abuse it. Not enough time to grind? Use the exploit, but not until 900 million overdrive. Have the darkfire gem glitch? Dont use it unless a guy is extremely hard to beat. It makes the game so much more fun. I get your point though, using glitches is really not what the developers intended. P.S if a waitress gave us too much change then gets fired, that girl's employer/manager must be a heck of a guy. Lets all be friends, and stop throwing insults.
P.S. Grumpy thief supporter: I didn't say I endorsed a game flaw (and from what I've read online, not all of these "glitches" are glitches, though I'm sure some are. I just will not be an immoral ignoramus who can't tell the difference between committing a crime and finding out the flaws in a game.

(´･_･`) I believe the esclamation mark is a glitch, but the whole process of making gems out of potion cooking is "obviously" too systematic and orthodox to be a glitch. Okay, this moral drama just got ridiculous. First. The "cooking gems" and "selling from fuse slot" things are definetly glitches. Using them is simply cheating yourself some money in the game, no more, no less. Is using this so bad? Not at all. It totally depends on the player. I glitched some gold for myself, because grinding the same acts over and over again is boring, and does not offer anything new (yet), after we have finished the game. This way, I spared a lot of free time for myself to do other things, and that's a great thing. And saying that using this cheat is like stealing money from a waitress is the stupidest itiotism I've ever read. Second. What do any of you care about this issue that much? There's a glitch, and anyone can cheat a little with it. So? What if it gives the same outcome as hacking in some gold? It's the player's moral issue who uses it, not others.
Not much drama going on, like you said, it's up to player's moral. The thing is that there is a guy who insists that everybody in this thread is a cheater and should be ashamed because they all "obviously" has exploited glitches, which is just loco. "selling from fuse slot" is definitely a big fat bug, but if "cooking gems" is another unintended feature, then this game is definitely the crappiest big name title I have ever bought. Why, because the glitch would be on a very large scale, when you can cook a lot of different types of gem. Frankly don't think ChAIR could suck so much at QC.
Well, I'm most certainly not ashamed at all, because someone has inferiority complex... As for the "cooking gems", I'm pretty sure it's just a glitch and not a hidden feature. The gem fusion and potion cooking are possibly based on the same algorithm, and they left something in the code that belongs to the gem fusing.

Well aren't they assuming that the guy was hacking. maybe he grinded challenges and purchased chips? Is that not a possibility? Lotta double standards in here lol. Then the turn around and say cooking gems is totally legit and a design choice so they can feel better about cheating the game and being the best.
Chips are a hack. Gold is a glitch. Grinded challenges? Not enough time to get that far. Purchase? Maybe, if he was very rich. They are possibilites, but are very slim and near, if not impossible feats.
Hey is anyone else having trouble with clash mobs? I keep getting the message "Check back soon", when the clash mob isn't over yet. I can see other people making progress also
So it seems there's another glitch whereby it's possible to fuse gems, instantly complete them with battle chips, then revert the cost of the process if you don't like the gem you get. So, from trying quite a few a combinations, something (disappointing) seems apparent: From what I've tried, if you're combining non-identical gems then there is no guaranteed gem outcome from the combination. I've combined a few combinations in the same order several times over, and get different gem outcomes on each. The only thing that appears consistent is the outcome gem shape. It seems like gem fusion just uses a proc-based system.
Clashmobs now are just ones for testing. They comes and goes in a flash. ChAIR hasn't fully rolled them out yet, no need to feel irritated. This is true in IB3 as well. It's almost random when it comes to forging different gems
Woh. Isa's Frigid (i mean the light weapon, LOL) is more OP than Siris's Infinity Blade at level 10. Bonus Combo sequence is ULULU, and combo wraps into itself for a sweet bonus combo multiplier every other hit of a ULULULULULU... sequence. ...Of course equipping 5ccc is better, but Frigid is pretty good on it's own.
