How much better are the graphics on this game?

The reason I ask is because from what I've gathered, the previous 2 Infinity-Blades have a much better replayability factor.

The 2.1gb install file puts me off. If the graphics aren't massively different between IBII and IBIII then I'd much rather go for the 1.2gb IBII.

    Thanks :)

Running this on an iPad 4, there isn't any major bump. A few new effects, but it's nowhere near the leap in visual fidelity IB1>IB2 was.

    Magic!!!!

This game is disappointingly brief. I expected more because of what was said at the launch (8 times bigger than the first infinity blade). IBII was longer than this when it was first launched. That said, this game is still awesome, and I don't mind playing the game over and over again. for me, the real joy comes with the battles, the epic challenging battles that come from battling higher level creatures as you progress (the imagine dragon makes battles feel even more epic. best weapon in the history of gaming).

    Now.
Has anyone else noticed how much depth the new magic system adds to the game? aside the cool effects each power has a functional purpose. for example freeze slows down the enemy, blunt reduces the amount of damage (this saved me against the god king) nullify removes elemental resistance. I reset my stats and put most of it into magic, I really feel like a true deathless. this game is awesome. all we need now is to be able to choose which castle we would like to explore. If Chair has plans to keep updating this like pocket god, that would be awesome. BEST GAME EVER

Plays flawlessly on my ipad 2. And I have like 1 gb space remaining.

Other than that, the game seems to be much harder. Which is a good thing of course.

Is there a café or some other public venue with free wifi nearby?
Maybe you can leech on their connection and get the game that way... :)

All in all, this game is kinda underwhelming.

Edit: Ehhhh I take that back. I just think that if we were able to freely go back to any castle after we had beaten it the first time would have been a nice addition. Then again most of the castles don't have very many secrets. Fingers crossed for some craaaazy huge update love that adds more paths, a la IB and IB2.

I think I would have preferred 2 or 3 IB2 castles rather than 6 or 8 or whatever straight lines.

People saying IB2 was bigger at launch are crazy.

IB2 had 2 main paths (through the castle or through the arena) with a few branches that added one or two fights to your journey. They added 3 more areas that constitute single rooms/locations. There were initially 5 boss fights.

In IB3 there are 7 main castles all that conclude in a boss fight. No there aren't a lot of branching paths, but I'm sure those will be added over time.

Gameplay is much deeper than IB2 with unique combos, increased customization and a deeper magic system. It looks astonishing. Overall it is easily the best in the series.

IMO, IB3 does a lot more things so much better than the first 2. They made a lot of additions and changes that work together so well that made IB3 a pretty tight package.

BUT, there are additions that made it look bad as well, namely Timers, and Chips. These additions are not really viable at this point as they hamper progressing in the game, especially to those who are very familiar with the series already. They dont break the game at all, but they are a flaw to me.

Having said that, my main point is that i really love IB3 right now, and i think it's the best out of the 3, BUT i think my time with it will be shorter than what i did with IB2, and it might even be possible that i will go back to IB2 for progressing in levels even further.

As far as updates go, Chair is friggin good at adding content updates which include new game modes, new paths, new locations and new items, in which i think they will also add new mechanics, new enhancements, and CHANGES to the game's current flaws which would make the Timers and Chips easier to bear... Most especially the timers.

Chips arent really that big of a deal for now, but i fear once you've finished all achievements, trials and clashmobs wont be enough to keep a consistent stream of upgrades, spin wheels and keys.

Cant wait to see how IB3 evolves, as right now, it's my current favorite out of the 3. We'll see how it goes in the long run.

Are there any kind of penalties when midway through the game you decided to go back to your hideout via the options menu? I wanna grind for gold, exp and chips.

I think he's pretty easy coz he's just too slow. Plus, Ice spells make easy work of him.

Thing is, my Siris is of an early "mage build" so i could take advantage of the gold bonuses, so he regens magic quickly that i landed 2 slows on him on my first encounter. slowed him at the start for an easy starting break, then slowed him before he dies where he couldve pulled off insane combos.

Another problem with IB3's system is that you cant camp an enemy to learn all his moves. So i pretty much just steamrolled him with slows.

Same story when i did my second playthrough. Im still on the third playthrough, and i hate how the enemies scale too fast in levels.

Nope... only a "replay everything from the start." LOL

I wish they just opened up ALL locations right before the final bossfight, so it can give us a more "freeroam" feel and farm a bit more to offset the insanely high levels of each enemy, boss or otherwise.

I dont think so. I think that is how farming actually works in IB3, which i didnt really like, coz in IB2 you can pitbull through everything, and at the end you can pull through with less disadvantages.

ibII had 80% bigger gameplay! and the option to forge and sell on the go... 80% more secrets, items, more random enemys, had ryth battle, rare gems that were fun to forge and use ... the vile suit/map and 3 tough battle to get the it +the holy ring story , negative rebirths(another game style v hard one) +much much more , i played ibII till i unlocked everything and reached level +300 - ibII is 80% better and longer than ibIII - has nothing to offer except graphics

TA should mention all that in review and let ppl know ibII content and what game has to offer comparing to ibIII

I really want to believe you but majority of what you mentioned there for IB2 were added only in content updates.

As expected, your posts are still more trollish rather than insightful.

  20. IB3 is 80% bigger than IB3, that is funny.
