Final opinions: good game. A little on the short side. Spoiler The ending was frustratingly thin. After two games and two books, I'd prefer more than a dialogue-absent conclusion and an implied child. The game definitely feels rushed. I don't know how long it's been in the making, but while Infinity Blade II felt large in scope and epic in duration, Infinity Blade III feels more linear. You can't go back and explore old areas, there's not too many branching paths, and the combat styles for both characters, while different, are still obviously outlines: one weapon, one big weapon, and two weapons. Well, everyone was saying "this is it". After getting past that, I can confirm the game is about 2-3 hours in length. You'd be correct. It has about 2-3 hours of plot, followed by god-knows-how-many-times people will achieve New Game Plus, the dragon fight, and the ever-trademark grind for the Infinity Blade. Keyword being reasonably.
i finish it in 1-2h then i finished in 20min. then in 30min. again 20min. ... when i was getting familiar with the new game graphics oops game finished, didnt had the time to enjoy it cos is too short, i tried again to give a chance maybe is more and you know what? is not a game, is a 20min trailer-demo wtf i have to finish the same game over and over more then 5-6time?! i got bored -2.1gb 20min. demo
I tried this on an iPhone 4 with iOS 7. The game gets to the blade on the loading screen and then just repeats over and over. The game never actually starts. So for the guy asking earlier if this runs on an iPhone 4, I guess the answer would be no. I also did a reboot on my phone a couple times and it still won't load. Good thing I'm going to be getting a 5S soon.
Tzup can you refrain from posting? You are borderline annoying and you keep quoting yourself? My download is slow. Cannot wait to grind my days.
totally agreed, but the best treatment for this kind of ppl is IGNORE them >.> no need waste time reading them nor reply them and soon they will cease to exist.
the first time you open the app it takes a while to load, even on my 4S it took about a few minute before the opening cinematic started, just be patient
Question: I have never played any of the Infinity Blade series. Should I play the first two games first, or can I just jump straight in?
If you care about the story in your games, then yes, playing IB1, then reading book1, then IB2, then book2, then IB3 is the way to go. If not, well, doesnt really matter what you play first, but i suggest just going for IB3. The other 2 have went on sale before, and you might want to wait for that. For someone who got interested in the IB series, didnt you hear of appstore's anniversary or something like that? They gave out IB2 for free.
Wow, Isa is so bad! As in kick butt bad. I love how she can find hidden items/treasures, and her crossbow is great. Met the dragon, got chomped a bit and did 555 damage out of 99,999! Then it flew away. I unlocked her gem removing skill - but I was still charged to remove a gem (just like when I play Siris). Am I using the skill wrong or missing something?
Anyone buy Imagine Dragon's album? Is it good? I like Radioactive and Monster. Speaking of Monster - wonder if its available for download now? It's two minutes into September 19th.
More thoughts on the game. The weapon forging mechanic is a stepback for the series. Sure, it's a great feeling when you finally get that upgrade, but this is the feature that i think hinders game progress. In IB2, this is basically playing through the game to the next "New Game Plus." For each NG+ you reach, you can master EACH weapon one more time. And it's free to do so. In IB3, to be able to master the item again, you have to: 1. pay the upgrade cost in gold 2. wait for the HUGE timers to finish, or spend chips to hasten the process 3. repeat I dont really mind spending gold to upgrade, but to wait 15 hours for my weapon isnt something i enjoy doing. I think timers in both the potion brewing and the gem forging are acceptable. Tis the weapon forging that pulls out the fun in IB3. And the secondary currency? Stupid addition. Even though it's somehow common now, it wouldnt be later on. Still a great game on most of what it offers though.
Of course, you get tons of gold chips through completing challenges in and out of combat, as well as the fact that timers progress after you die. That "2h 31m later" you see? It's not just for show; it's how much time is artificially deducted from the time it takes to forge or craft an item.
Agreed. The problem is that there's no way to speed it by defeating bosses. Unlike IB2, in this game newbies get rewarded with this forging feature since time only passes when you get defeated by a boss. IMO the whole replayability is lacking. Castles are short so grinding isn't enjoyable, and there's no option to play the levels you want with the character you want. I'd go as far as to say that the whole game is a step back from IB2. Spoiler And the ending was rubbish.
agree with you! in 2-3 days you'll get bored and delete it i did after one day of hard playing like i said - is just a 20min. 2.1gb demo
