You have to use Facebook for the new update?... Wow I just lost A LOT of respect for chair. Now I am disappointed
So i just updated 3 minutes ago, opened the app and wanted to try the clash mob thingy! But when i saw facebook, and no GC, i was like "F--K this shit" and deleted IB again ) Bad move by the devs....
Well, I'm still not happy about the Facebook integration, but it does appear to automatically add your GC friends to your mob after you sign into FB. I'm curious though if your mob only included those currently playing the game. I only have 5 in my mob but know I got more friend invites today just for this.
Facebook seems like BS but once you get past that screen it just pulls in your Game Center friends. I'm not even sure why it needs access to Facebook. Also there really isn't anything new in the update for single player besides a small amount of equipment. With the gold I had already saved I have bought all the new stuff. Now I just have the new locked items to search for. And on the new iPad it seems a bit buggy. Text is no longer Retina and on the gold bags it displays super small text. I expect a X.X.1 update shortly.
We're in the same mob cause the only friends I have on gamecentre, I added today for this. As long as we get it up to 25, we're laughin because that seems to be the big bonuses. I think the other 45 or so from the thread will show up later today once they log in so it should be ok. Annoyed by that facebook stuff but as long as it doesnt post to the page, it wont be major problem. Pre registered now for them all so gonna be trying it out in about 11 hours.
Something worth considering is that judging by the fact that you can't even start in on any of the ClashMob challenges yet, it's possible that Chair could need to flip a switch on their end to enable all of this stuff to start working properly. I'd temper the pitchforks and torches until someone gets in the office tomorrow morning? It's 11:00 PM on the west coast right now...
Seems so, GC + facebook. Hodapp is probably right, given the response on this threat. I certainly overreacted i guess.....i just hope hodapp is right. Friended everyone in the IB2 friend request thread
I would think this is the kind of update you have people in the office for even at midnight. But I'm hoping your right. ---------------------- The retina iPad support has taken a step back with this update. Blurry icons, small out place labels. A real lack of testing on the new hardware.
We'll see what tomorrow brings, but the mobs are f'd up as they are now. Earlier I had 5 GC people in my mob after signing in to Facebook. Now there's none. I can only assume they've either logged out of FB or out of the game. So how is that supposed to work if the clash mob fights last over a period of hours and are basically asynchronous? Hopefully, there's just something on Epic's end that needs to be turned on or something.
GC probably hadn't signed you in when you looked. Either that or it's running slow, cause I thought I had 0 as well til it updated.
After adding a bunch of toucharcade folks, in gamecenter, I have a bunch of folks in my mob now.....i think chair knew what they were doing, they just also want the facebook info as well to provide information/money. Gamecenter will work fine, as long as those people playing infinity blade have also provided their facebook info.
I actually thought the same, but played for a bit and even looked at the GC leaderboards in the game. Went back into mobs and it was still zero. Will just see how it is tomorrow. I've gotta get a few hours sleep....
Seriously? C'mon!! What else did you expect? with all the emphasis on clashmobs being 'Social'? I'm surprised that some of you are surprised at the facebook integration. Let's wait till it takes off before we judge. Chair wanting my facebook info sounds suspicious tho
Yeah, I won't be signing into Facebook for this. If it doesn't post to my wall, then the only reason they're doing so is to data harvest my info. No thanks, Gamecentre exists for a reason. Tacking on a required Facebook integration like this is sleazy. Oh well, at least there was a fun update for Infiltrator as well last night.
