NEW UPDATE! New resolution for the new iPad and some more languages. It says that ClashMobs is coming soon.
The best for me is that before this update, the game took 1.1GB installed, and now it takes 937MB. It's the first time I see that more resolution textures = less space. Anyway, I hope more devs do this and allow me to free my iphone a bit
I'm thinking multiplayer? edit: Clash Mobs is Infinity Blade’s way of making the game social. You will be able to fight mobs of enemies and even bosses with a friend, or with big groups of players, from anywhere in the world. This will be managed over iCloud. Players will even be rewarded for grouping up and participating in these Clash Mob affairs. Whether it be more experience points (XP) or an awesome new weapon, players will be rewarded in some way or another.
iCloud is almost similar to iFail right now with all the glitches that comes with it experienced in different games. Probably one of the reasons Clashmobs is delayed.
What does everyone think of IB2 on the new ipad? I've done a very quick comparison with my ipad 2 and I'm struggling to see any difference bar for better edges due to 4x AA, comparing textures on armour etc it looked exactly the same. Like I said it was a very quick test.
There are certain places in the game where you need to use certain weapons (put them in a slot in the door) to access certain rooms. Are the weapons and items you get inside those rooms items you cannot buy? I've accessed three of those rooms in a room that had six - and I don't think those particular items were available in the store. Just curious. I've gotten some items in chests that were available in the store (got one helmet twice, then sold the second one) - it seems these were random prizes - but the items in the locked rooms seem to be particular set items. Another question: does the cost to master an item depend on how much experience is still needed to master it? I had one item almost mastered (very little left) and I fought another battle - and it looks like I actually wasted the experience on that item because it was mastered right away and I had several hundred experience left over, and a negative number flashed right after. Would it be worth paying to master those items that are almost mastered, or is it better to still use them for one more fight, knowing you will lose some experience afterwards?
The items in that room cannot be purchased and as far as I know do not drop from enemies/chests/wheels. You will most likely reach a point in the game where you have one or more items mastered that you can't afford to replace for a while, so it doesn't really help to pay to master items. The only time it is worth it is if you are going to start new game+ with cash to burn. Anything you don't spend is gone, but you keep exp and stat pts.
Unfortunately, multiplayer hasn't even been confirmed. The word is, "a possibility if the game sells well". Clash Mobs, the social component, is on its way, but is not actually a competitive multiplayer mode, but a single player mode that combines the efforts of players over the world to determine when the gargantuan enemy goes down. But no actual interaction with other players is involved. (If we do finally get a multiplayer mode, here's to the hope it will feature knight versus knight combat, the one thing I kept hoping IB1 would implement.)
Knight VS Knight would be awesome, but how do you think would they pull that off in a game like IB? I mean, you cant really initiate coz the other knight will either parry, block/dodge you like crazy. I think they'll have to change a lot of things to make that happen, but i'll be all over it when it does.
i know this has probably been asked before somewhere in this thread, so pardon me for asking again. does IB2 work fine on the iPod Touch 4th generation? thanks
