yeah but it's way too costly to put your best gems into and item and then remove them later. they'd be at least 70k to remove for some of the ones i have. i looked it up on the other forum and looks like the best weapons of each kind aside from IB are the NG+ weapons... sigh oh well. i dont really plan on playing that and losing all my stuff so i guess i'll have to do with out the mech stuff and the ultimate weapons. is this in the update? my version 1 has no tutorial on gems
This is random, as far as I can tell. If you find a gem, it will be explained. If not, no. I did the tutorial three times now: First time no gem, second time (after re-installing) I got +100 water, 3rd time (after a reset to bloodline 1) I didn't get one either.
Ah, yes, losing progress on an update is another matter entirely. I was referring to the bug that causes progress not to be saved between relaunches. (And even in that case, I suppose there might be many different variations. The most commonly reported, however, resets progress at some point before or during relaunches, and affects all save games.) Hmm, we can do that, rebirth and make NG+ easier? (I figured we start at Rebirth 1 in NG+, as I haven't reached it yet.) I'm surprised no one discovered this before. Does it resolve all of the woes and headaches with NG+ being far to difficult due to restarting without our stuff?
New Game +, available when you beat the game, gives much stronger opponents, new stuff, and the chance to re-master all old equipment in order to develop you character further.
hmmm. did any enemy drop it? so far i've redone the tutorial maybe 20 or so times and the only drops i got were equipment. however i probably wouldn't need the gem unless i was trying for NG+. and that brings up another question, when you hit you save to begin NG+, does it completely write over your old save? meaning that you use another save for NG+ and keep the old one with all your equipment?
Yes, although my level 55 save was deleted, my level 40 new game+ save was not. I just reset to rebirth 1, and wallah, all of the enemies became level 1. If you want to make it really easy, you can use the glitch in the room with the weapons that have to be unlocked to get alot of coin. I think I am justified for doing this as I had over 200,000+ coin as well as the infinity blade in my old game.
Hmm, I seem to recall something about rebirthing in NG+ just brings you back to the old game mode after the rebirth. Just to make sure : are you certain you are still in NG+? If so, that kinda voids the whole NG+ is impossible without IAP debate (Though yes, being allowed to keep equipped equipment and thus not have to go back to level 1 enemies would be preferable.)
It was the second enemy you fight that dropped it. I think the game was just as surprised as I was. No big deal on the gem for me, I've been getting +5x gems before I reset my bloodline at level 28. I'm not even near the top equipment yet. I actually have a shield (cyclone) with 3 gems in: +200% item +246% item +216% weapon I use it in high-end fights if I'm using dual or 2-handed, or when opening med/large chests. Works wonders. Question about NG+: If I start one with enough cash, will I be able to buy the top items, go back to the normal mode and keep them? Or does my character become two?
I must say that in spite of everything that is good and great about Infinity Blade II Chair really dropped the ball on the finishing moves. They have no correlation to the actual weapon you are using (Ausar will gladly stab an axe through a throat or a stomach), and they are the same regardless of whether you are using dual weapons, heavy weapons or weapon and shield (even to the point of the protagonist quickly sheathing his second dual weapon in order to perform a normal one- or two-handed finishing move). With all the polish and care that went into IB2, finishing moves specific to the fighting style might have been another nice touch If my recollection is correct, your character splits in two, effectively separating all NG+-related items and progression from the normal game.
Hm. What's the point of those super weak weapons if I'm starting with the infinity blade and the enemies have 6000 hp..? I just used a 6 power sword to kill the enemy. Most damage done to him through magic. EDIT: And all of the items seem to be extraordinarily disproportionate from the money I'm making from fighting. This blows, in sum.
I was really hoping they'd change this as well. In the first IB, I always thought it was strange when I stabbed a club through my opponent's stomach. Sadly, they still haven't differentiated between blunt and sharp weapons in IB2. You mean you're leaving impressions after having played only 10 minutes? Why don't you play some more before embarrassing yourself?.. ---------- In any case, I finally got the chance to try this out on the iPad 2. It's a whole different experience, damn.
To be completely honest, and maybe I'm just looking for it - I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, mate. So I'm going to answer as if you're being serious (which I would hope, so I know if I'm experiencing something weird). I did start the game with the IB, though. I promise you that. No other swords. I bought the first one hoping to master it and spent 15 minutes scratching away at an enemy with about... Maybe 4K health. Only thing that sped it up was magic. One other thing I've heard is that key prices increase further into the game.. Does the large start at 100,000? If it matters to anyone - I bought the game earlier today and I'm working through my first play through.
You're supposed to be playing the game with the Infinity Blade... Spoiler You lose it after the 4th or 5th battle during a cutscene, and the REAL game starts. Surprise, you get a +3 sword and shit armor. Once again, play more of the game..
I appreciate you clarifying and I acknowledge my stupidity- you're a better man than I, hah. I guess I just figured it weird and decided to jump on the boards and look into it. After seeing a bunch of other weird issues I wanted to be sure before continuing. If mods please they can delete these ramblings (which I would prefer for my pride, hah).
