I deleted and re- installed the game. It still won't load. After the title screen it just crashes. I have an iPhone 4.
Oh, Shadowgun is extremely impressive, graphically, but it is nowhere near IB2 (or IB1) in level of detail, polish, spit and shine, shaders, textures and all the technical stuff, graphical intensity, and the demands it places on our hardware. That said, perhaps the Unity engine is actually more powerful than the Unreal engine in presenting good graphics with good performance.
Actually, take into account that in the IB games everything that is a bit further away from the camera is actually pretty damn low-res and low-poly and it seems that Shadowgun is the one throwing more data at you in terms of textures and, at times, polygons as well. And when we're talking about shader computations, keep in mind that in IB & IB2 only the 'hero models' have dynamic stuff going on in terms of gloss and bump maps while all the rest is static. In Shadowgun much of the environment is bump mapped and has some sort of gloss going on in dynamic ways (which is not at all the case in IB, there is zero shading going on on the environment). And while I do think that in Shadowgun the enemies might be a bit simpler in terms of textures and shading (though tbh, I have not even noticed this yet), you're often facing up to 6 or 8 of them in a much bigger environment that you can freely roam and has actual real-time shader stuff going on. The only thing you could argue IB2 does more than Shadowgun is that it might do some more advanced shaders on the hero models. The 3D engine is actually doing less than Shadowgun on all other fronts.
Im close to beating the game now. It has talen me as long as IB1 including the deathless update. Im looking forward to a content update for IB2 now.
Please can someone answer these questions - Can you sell items? And what's with the items that aren't available? Are they unlockable, or are they part of a future update? THANKS!!
1: You can only sell items if you have a duplicate. 2: They are found through Prize Wheels (Normal, Medium, Rare), obtained through treasure chests, and some are only found in NG+.
Hey I was wondering, as anybody downloaded the update yet. I am afraid to because I have heard that past updates have deleted the saved game, and I was wondering if anybody can confirm this. Also, in new game plus, do you restart the game but keep all of your weapons and equipment? Because I have a personal goal to master every item in the game, but it is hard to kill a level 70 guy with a blade that does 5 damage.
You lose all your gear. Unless you buy gold, you're going to have to beat the initial enemies with the default stuff.
So I started IB II up again, and it seems like everything works fine. I got the Double XP potion, the 3 rare prize wheels (didn't get anything marginally good), and the 2 medium keys. It's all working out at the moment.
WTF? Can anybody confirm my impression, that IB2 looks much worse on iPhone 4 with the new update? unsharp textures, flimmering pixels, but higher frame rate? Anyway, looks horrible, compared to before...
I'm using ipod 4G and I can confirm the graphics have been lowered, there's now no flames on the wall lights etc. All of which I think is for the best, ill take performance over graphics everytime.
My biggest beef with IB 2, dodging and blocking seems rather unresponsive and the character animations/stance noticeably reset themselves during battle. It's ugly, jarring and ruins any immersion.
I have my iCloud saves. Could that be why the game won't get past the title screen? He game worked just fine until last nights update. I am very unhappy. Any advise?
I'm playing on my iPod Touch 4g, iOS 5.01, and I'm having problems with the save file. I'm using IB2 1.01. Every time I load up the game, I'm back to the beginning area of the game (Japanese garden, where Siris is talking to the girl about finding answers), but with my proper character's equipment, etc. Is this a glitch or how the game should be?
Okay, so I just beat the game, and I didn't press anything and it restarted where I killed the info dealer and I now started again by the bridge with none of by equipment gone, and It prompts me to start rebirth 16(around that number). The funny thing is, it never prompted me to start a new game plus, and I still have all my equipment, and I am still fighting about level 70 enemies. When does it prompt me to start newgame plus? Sorry if these questions are nooby, but I have never played IFB1 before, so I am entirely new to the game.
Try turning off ur iCloud save, go under settings=> iCloud=> and turn off documents and data, turn off the iCloud backup too. Do let me know if it works anot, hope it helped
