While Chair is at it, can they fix IB 1? On iPad 2, the contrast is blow out and moves like stop motion. It's abysmal to play. Stinks, because overall I'm way let down by IB2 - the only 1/2 redeeming feature is the combat. It's a better parry system, but they mangled blocking and dodging. Those are completely unresponsive and broken.
I shut off iCloud backup for just Infinity Blade 2 and have been enjoying this game without fear, of coarse it's easy for me playing on ONE device.
iCloud backup and iCloud saves are different dude. To stop iCloud saves, you have to turn it off completely which means all your other apps don't save either. Sorry but I don't see why we have to inconvenience our selves to this magnitude because of epic's inept programming. I don't care anymore, I already got my refund approved by apple.
Are you sure? I was under the impression that once you complete the game a second time it would replace the old New game + but I haven't gotten that far myself so i could be wrong.
No, it doesn't do that. There's only one OG slot and one NG+ slot, and once you get to Rebirth^3 it still uses the same NG+ slot. (And yes, I've played up to Rebirth 1^3 and can verify that.) It'd be endless frustration if reclearing OG overwrote your NG+ slot if you actually put a lot of time into the latter. They really should have gone with IB1's system where there was only one slot in the first place, but as it is, your NG+ starts wherever you FIRST cleared OG and that's not going to change.

Yeah it deletes your save when you turn it off but keep it off and play till they update with a fix. I haven't lost mine since turning it off.
As long as you have icloud working-check settings and manage icloud etc to make sure there is an infinity blade save files Then on both devices goto options and character slots and make sure you have the same save game character chosen Then whichever device ur on,it will pick up where you left off 'it just works' lol
I don't think that's correct. You turn off documents and data. Not iCloud as a whole. If you scroll past that to storage & backup and click manage and storage the first things it shows are the ones that store "documents & data" which most apps don't do. On my phone out of 14 gb of apps the only ones that do it are iTunes Trailer and Infinity Blade 2.
iCloud or not the update still deleted my dude. So better do a backup before you update if you wanna be sure to keep your save.
Anyone know of a good guide for this game which explains the best way to set you character up? for instance how do you best set up to fight a foe who poisens you as soon as he hits you once?
Patch is out on the appstore... Bug fixing and optimizations but the save problem is still here ?? Damn...
Crap!!! So, the update didn't fix anything for me. It actually made it worse. Now the game crashes immediately. Guess, I'll just have to keep waiting to play more of the game. Anybody else experiencing this?
The game was fine for me before updating, and after I did, it got even better. However, the performance doesn't hold out throughout the game and I need to restart the app after a few battles to get that solid frame rate gameplay. Pretty much awesome, nonetheless.
I Think i found a way to bring back lost progress!! 1.go to Setting then iCloud and turn off Documents & Data 2.go to storage & backup > Manage Storage > *your iDevice name* > then choose off next to infinity blade II 3.Now this is the tricky part go back to Manage storage and click infinity blade II you should find lots of (SwordSaveX_ ,SwordSaveSlotX_ 's) press Edit and delete all of them except the largest (SwordSaveX_ and SwordSaveSlotX_) in size ,you should only have one of each 4.now close settings and run the game and hopefully your progress will be back. !! Ps. this is not 100% guaranteed to work ,at least it worked for me Also let me know if it worked for you
Yeah all the update did for me was patch the money hack. So lame. Idk why they'd care, like anyone who hacks the game would've actually bought IAP gold anyway. This actually just made me wanna play less.
The framerate is better on iPad 2 with the update, I don't see a big difference on iPod Touch 4 (it's always laggy but not unplayable). The 3 types of weapons are a nice addition, the gems are great, I enjoy the numerous paths (I'm level 23 and I just discovered I can climb the tree ) and the new enemies. A little complaint about the fact we can't sell items, even if I'm rich (latter in the game, I think it could be a problem, but I'll see), and the fact I've definitively a problem with the spells on iPad, I never miss one on iPod but often need 3 tries to succeed on iPad
Well what a load of crap. After yesterday's update i reset my iPod and IB2 seemed to be working fine. Then I turn it on this morning and it's crashing at the title screen again, I didn't another reset on my iPod and finally manage to get it to load but BAM!y save game is gone. This has to be the worst app I've bought (and I've bought hundreds) I've never had another app perform this badly. Epic fail from chair.
