Well this game is in every way better than IB1 from my point of view! And kudos for adding women fighters EDIT: btw, i`m terrified of losing my progress... (i remember going through the same thing with Zombieville 2), fingers crossed for an update this weekend
GREAT GAME putting a side the crashing.. I dont know if this has been posted before but I wil post it so maybe someone missed it... THE TRUE IPAD 1 WORKAROUND I got the game yesterday and I wasnt able to play it, reinstalled, rebooted, respring it... I did everything posible... until it was just about to crash after the INFINITY BLADE II logo and I open the multitasking tray... it didnt crash and I went all the way after the intro cinematic with the tray open... and I finnaly got in the game!!! since then no more crash!!!!!! try it!!!! it really works!! again sorry if somebody already discover this...! I have gamecenter ON and I cloud data backup OFF... either way with that config I still had the crash until openning the multitasking!!!
Right, so I know, "read the thread", but there's 71 pages. So: Is it immediately crashing for everyone with a 3GS at this point? Or just me? Excited to play it, but if it's a "wait for a patch" situation I'll just do that.
No issues on iPad 2 Can someone please explain blocking with heavy weapons ... i can parry like a champ and block left, right, and center attacks but what about against special moves like head butts, front kicks, and fireballs? i can't parry them and blocking doesnt work. I asked this earlier but nobody helped other than some guy saying that I can't dodge with heavy weapons (duh!) ...
I wish we could talk about the ending here but can't spoil it for everyone. I wonder what kind of story chair originally had in mind. I bet they changed it somewhst after getting the author (Sanderson or something) onboard. As side note, I recommend getting the e-book. It's a good read.
yeah i had a save wipe happen to me but i kept all my gear and beat that God woman person again and it just resumed everything. Right now im at Rebirth 5 or 6 but it didnt wipe anything just put me back at the first part of the game... weird...
I'm at rebirth 3. Thanks to my bad sight (frame wise) I haven't found any excessive lagging in the game and have enjoyed it very much so far.
Haha! I haven't had too much lagging either. The worst I've had lately was the cutscenes stopping for a few seconds.
Maybe it's an iCloud thing? iPhone 4S too. Because I just lost my savegame too...sigh...just created a regenerating sword Despite this, I think the game is really stellar...I hope they solve this problem fast though. Before loosing the savegame (a non trivial problem) I had absolutely no problems whatsoever..on the contrary, a fantastic experience and a major improvement on every level over the original one. BTW...did anyone tried 'playing' airplaying on TV. IT'S GORGEOUS. I can't belive my eyes...I could easily trick any friends that the game come from 360 or PS3 under the TV if it wasn't for the form factor. They use some ultra hi res texture that is really a joy to see on the large screen...much better than most of Skyrim for example. Incredible it's on my pocket. Obviously the game is not playable solo in this mode (you have to watch the iPhone to do the moves), but it's really GORGEOUS to look at. I wonder if they can program a mode to use the iPhone like the WiiMote/Kintect/AirServer Mouse....you could swing and parry with the iphone in your hands...they could sell TONS of Apple TV... If you have an aTV...try it...you won't belive you're eyes.
hmmmm Just want to say I love love love playing on my iphone4 then switching to ipad2 and picking up right where i left off! Not a single problem or bug so far, what a game!
Spoiler the killing of the god king and the freeing of the worker is the end of the game? or is something still coming? and the small cutscene with the woman at the end.... IB 3 ?
Don't read if you haven't completed the game: Spoiler I hope Isa is not the main character for IB3. Playing as Siris/Ausar is much more bad ass. I wonder if him and Raidrar will team up now that both spend years locked in that dimensional prison. Could be cool if we got to play as Raidrar too.
My experience with IB 2: System: running on iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1. Gameplay: Swordplay in IB 2 is far more engaging, with the parry mechanics being especially refined. It makes combat more gripping, especially with the variations between light, heavy and dual weapons. Blocking/dodging has been nerfed and feels really off. Especially with heavy weapons and dual wielding. The framerate is not solid either, it's very hit and miss - often resulting with more choppy than not. Graphics: Aspects of the visuals seems better in IB2, where as others seems drastically worse. I'm really liking the light rays and shadow effects. I'm not liking the screen tearing, muddier textures and noticeable jaggie/square polygons of enemies. Some of these things looked far better in the first game. Conspiracy: I have a feeling the Epic and Chair aren't fixing the wacked version of IB for ios 5, to gain more sales for the second one. The first now runs like a Stop motion movie, with way blown out contrast.
I had that problem initially as well, but I might have a workaround. Play through one round from the beginning until you start your first rebirth. Go into the settings and create another character slot. That game will start from the beginning. Immediately go back to your first save slot and the game should still be there. On rebooting my iPhone 4, it shows that both character slots are level 1, but swapping from the second character then back to the first and my saved progress is restored.
I see a lot of people having the same problem as me : everytime the game quits and start again, I have to restart from the beginning tutorial (which is kinda of really annoying!)... Other than that, the game runs great (even on 3GS with iOS5)! Did anyone figure out how to get the saved game?? I see it on iCloud but the game does not seem to pick it up...
Which weapon style do you like the most? I thought I'd love dual wielding but ended up liking the heavy stuff more. The hits really FEEL heavy. The original one is definitely the easiest to play.
The "Save Game Workaround" didn't' work for me. My data too is on the iCloud but the game doesn't pick it up. Screw it, I'll just start over, but I'm shutting off iCloud back-up until ChAIR releases a proven fix in an update. I'm not doing this again...level 21 GONE! Bummer! Otherwise a great game!
