Dissapointing. Downloaded it this morning and was lookking forward to playing it tonight. Keeps crashing after the title screen and after 10 re-starts, still the same. Have given up and like Skyrim, will probably have to wait 6 months for the thing to get sorted.
i'm sure this issue is directly related to 5.0 or 5.0.1. that seems to be the root of 90% of the problems
Is it just me, but do any of you get no sfx during the game? I get music, I get dialogue, I get menu sound effects or when I pick up a coin bag, but when in a fight, I don't get any sfx related to the fight like from the swords or if any enemy sword hits my shield... or noises from the enemy... EDIT: never mind. Fix by exiting out, closing it in the multi-tasking bar, then restarting... Other than that, no bugs on my iPad 2. Runs just fine, and I even see things that were supposed to be there for devices with A5 chips, like the koi in ponds and the light shafts.
Ipad 2 No issues on my iPad 2 other than sometimes losing sound effects (the grunts and whatnot during fighting) ... but you can fix it by just shutting the app down in the multitask bar and restarting. Can someone please explain the blocking with the heavy weapons? I can parry like a champ but don't understand what I'm supposed to do to block special attacks (like headbutts, front kicks, fireballs, ect) ... I'm lost. You can't dodge with heavy weapons so there has to be a way to ...
honestly i haven't gotten heavy weapons yet but early on i assume you can't block those. i know for some magic you can dodge it which is usually what i do. and headbutts are usually dodge or block i believe
Oh, it absolutely does work for the beginning of the game (which always crashes otherwise), it's just that after passing the intro, when I start the game again (having saved somewhere else) it has a high probability of crashing. And at those times said trick doesn't prevent it.
So if I want to keep my data from being restored I cant delete IB2 off my multitask bar until they release the patch? that sucks.
i found a fix kinda to the save game issue, i turned off the icloud appdata backup feature, cause i dont use it much anyhow, but i tested ib2 after i turned it off. i finished the tutorial and got to the castle, and during that time i have closed ib2 from the multitask bar, started it again to check the save game a few times and it hasnt restarted on me. i have also reset the phone several times after i closed ib2 and havent had it restart on me. so although it may not be a perma fix for people who use icloud alot but for people like me who dont need it, it allows ur save game to be intact.
Don't get me wrong, I like this game. However, doesn't it seem like they rushed it out and left a bunch of unpolished stuff (art assets) in there? Frickin inventory icons are making my eyes bleed, and the background to it is something a 3rd grader would do, seems weird to make a beautiful game and leave that portion looking like ass. Which makes me think they ran out of time.
It feels a little funny at first not being able to dodge, but with heavy weapons, you have to block the enemy strike in the direction the swing is coming from. It's either a left, centre (shield button) or right sided block. I am pretty sure that it also relies on your Shield stat as far as resilience goes, so after a while you may find your blocks are weakened. I suppose this is to weigh up the devastating power of your attacks with two handed weapons, otherwise you'd be a walking tank.
Tried it 6 times, was hoping it would work, got to step 4 as per Carlos, and each time, CRASHED! Still haven't been able to open it! %$&*!! I have an ipod touch 4th gen. 64gb running 5.0.1 This SUCKS!!!!
go to settings > icloud > documents and data > and turn it off, it worked for me, i got farther then i did before so far, and Ive resetted several times with the app on and off the multitask bar to test it, and its worked great.
I've changed my mind. This game is better than initial impressions indicated. Now, if I lose my data I'll be pissed.
So when it says iCloud data on the device will be deleted does that mean I'll have to start over after I turn it off?
erh im not sure about that.... i didn't have anything stored so it didn't give me that popup, i mean if you have other stuff stored you may not want to. i don't want to tell you to do it and then you lose something important O,o
Well I only played to after the fight with saydhi (sp?) so if I have to start over now it'd be better than losing it 5 hours in.
