After playing Horn, I feel like IB could definitely make free-roaming work. They'd have to add a few exploration mechanics and puzzles to make it worth while, but the could still have enemies spawned around the map, and when you walk close enough you could just enter the same combat mode that they've been using.
In case anyone's interested, there's a poll for the game of the year going on at touch arcade. Only previous game of the weeks are eligible. IB 2 is one of those games. You can vote here : http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=146395
A bit of a novice question: Is it worth upgrading when leveling up anything but the health and maybe magic? It seems to me as the other abilities (strength, shield) are taken care of with the items you receive and buy. Can anyone give a hint on this?
I also only use magic primary for healing. But didn't you increase your health? Most equipment doesn't increase it by that much whereas swords and such have a +30 fairly early on so leveling strength up seems tiny by comparison.
About the stats, if you're playing NG, put 200 points in magic, and then a lot in attack and in health (more in attack than in health). Even if you don't use magic a lot, when you put more points in magic, the magic recharges faster, and the cap for this effect is at 200 points. In OG do the same, but more points in health than in attack since you'll get your attack points from upgraded gems.
They are two different modes: - OG (Original Game) is the original mode. In this mode you can't infinitely level up your character because each item can be mastered only once. Everytime you beat the game again in this mode you'll start it again, but you won't lose anything. That's why you need to use better and better gems in this game because there's no other way to upgrade your character. - NG (New Game+) is unlocked after beating the game. In this mode you can infinitely level up your character, because each time you beat the game (and you start other NG) in this mode, every equipment will "level up" as well (mastered^x), but you lose everything, so the gems are a bit more useless than in OG. You can access these modes in the Profiles menu.
Hi I'm new here, this is the most beautiful game of AppStore, I just bought an iPhone 4s and graphic is awesome!!
I've installed the latest version but when I finish the game with new game plus defeating god king my weapons shield and stuff disappear on the beginning and money too! What I've to do?
That's the way new game plus is set up. Every time you defeat the God King your items all get reset to the beginning and you basically start over. The difficulty increases each time and your xp will continue to climb as you remaster items again. Some items can only be unlocked in new game plus also.
Thanks, I solved the problem!! When I'm to the god king I restart from rebirth 1, and money and stuff are stored!! And yes in new game plus there are more stuff like omega armor#!
In new game plus i've got all the notes for the vile armour but I can't get the helm and armour! I know where they are but tapping on screen is useless! In new game plus is possible to get them??
You don't click anywhere to get the armour. Go up the tree in the arena. Pick up the gold bags. It should wake up the "dragon". Defeat it to get the armour. As for the helm. You need to be where you would fight the boss on the bridge to click on it. Clicking the spot while your character is further back on the bridge will not get it. You have to have beaten the boss here then come back on a later rebirth. You definetly can get the vile armour set on a ng +.
Screwed by the clash mobs again. Claimed my Tempest, and it's no where to be found. Into the ether. Frustrating. Happened with the Ash, too. You can't even buy that weapon.
Ok I've got the notes but when i'm in the arena I cannot click the path wich leads up the tree, it's strange! The same thing for the helm which is over the bridge! I've defeated all the bosses except thane! In the normal game I've got all the items!
Ah ok, i'm in the 4 rebirth in new game plus, I've already killed the three titans! So I've to wait for the tree?
Digging thru my old purchases I have both Infinity Blade and Infinity Blade 2 and loaded them onto my ipad tonight I never touched either. Do I need to play thru the first game before diving into IB2?
^No need, unles youre into the story. I do suggest playing 1 first though, and playing until you get to defeat Zero Mech. That is the true ending of IB1. Then you can play IB2 so that you have an idea as to how the main character ended up being in the location in IB2.
