Are we talking about that L.E.A.N.D.R.O. guy? I haven't been in the IFBII community in a couple months, but I remember him boasting about how good he was.

Hahaha! Interesting indeed. How much time do you think does he spend in a day on IB2? Is it possible he's filthy rich and IAP'd he's way up? The NG+ level suggests he grinded a lot though.

Yes. At least, I know 4 accounts that he used in the EG Forums.

I really don't know. I've seen almost every pic he posted in the EG Forums, and he always had a lot of in-game money. In NG every gold bag gives you around 50 gold. Enemies give you money too, but NOT that much, at least in early NGs.

does the vault of tears update have any follow up to the original ending in ib2? you know the one where
you are presioned in the vault with raidriar and the worker leaving you there
or nothing at all about that part? a answer type like yes or no would be fine i dont want any spoilers and does the clashmod still use facebook? i think i saw they include a login with twitter or the twitter thing is only for the retweed things to kill a titan o do X amount of damage?

Yes and no. Play to the end and see for yourself. Half a spoiler is as good as a spoiler itself. Clashmobs still use facebook, haven't tried twitter yet tho.

This is driving me a bit nuts....

I'm...I dunno, level 156 or so? And I've Mastered 3 most equipment, which is fine. But I've got one blade, just one, that I've somehow managed to Master 4.

    How did I *do* this?

I have trouble seeing there being a sizable advantage to IAP in IB2 unless you rarely play the game, but the guy sounds like a piece of work either way.

    Some thoughts on the update:

    1. Wow, it's like Chair read my mind and has a really rotten sense of humor. At least half a dozen new kinds of Wretch-Class enemies and they're made more common; my least favorite part of the game!

    2. What's the deal with that little robot thing that's sneaking around in the rafters here and there as you go through the game?

That robot is TEL, Ausar's shape-shifting automaton from when he was a tyrannical Deathless King that slew the God King, imprisoned the Worker of Secrets, and apparently had a wife, too.

Ausar knew how horrible he was, so he arranged to have him resurrected as a child every time he died instead.
TEL is following Siris to prevent him from learning of who he used to be, though he's doing a terrible job. When you're a quadrupedal, three-foot tall android, you can't really do much. Anyways, read the novella. It's three bucks, and fills you in on everything immediately after Siris kills the Ancestor in Infinity Blade, and just after Isa kills Siris in after the tutorial. Good book, too.

Just read it. Thanks for making the suggestion. I was hoping they'd explain why some of the Deathless are so damn big though. I get that the guards can be trolls and all that, but the others I don't know.

I 'm playing this game on ipad 2 and i experince some minor slow down during the fight with the Ronin and the first fight of each rebirth, i notice that every time there's sun light in the background when you engage in battle, the frame rate drop down a little bit
Does anyone here have this issue

No, but the game does run a bit smoother after a reset.

They're not human, and it's implied that they may even be aliens. If that's true, it's entirely possible that they're naturally that large.

Is it just me or is the Infinityblade storline/world some of the most originals concepts in gaming in a long time, even compared to consoles.

It has a sort of a mix between eastern and western middle age setting, and it takes place on an alien world!!!!

Don't get me started on the costume design, it is second to only Demon Souls in awesomness.

The idea of regular folk setting themselves up as gods using advanced technology is hardly new. Go read Roger Zelazny's trippy SF novel Lord of Light - colonists escaping a dying Earth set themselves up as Hindu deities and battle to be king of the hill, and the guy who plays Buddha (as a kind of quiet revolutionary) tries to sort everything out. If you can handle crazy 1960s philosophical science fiction it's a fantastic read.

On the other hand, while Infinity Blade doesn't come close to that in terms of quality writing I have enjoyed the story a lot more than I expected to. Bought the novella, liked the plot unfolding, am genuinely interested to see where Chair take the writing in future. It's pulp, but it's very enjoyable, surprisingly well done pulp. I even liked the voice acting quite a bit.

I was disappointed with TEL's voice acting. I expected it/him/her to sound more like a minion than an android especially with the trademark saying 'o this is not good, not good at all'

Really? When I imagined TEL at first, I imagined a C-3P0 lookalike. Then I learned it was a quadruped, and imagined a quadrupedal Threepio.

Besides, TEL is an automaton, not a living being. Of course it's voice is going to be digitized. Even the Deathless don't have clear voices. The guard for the stone demon, the Beast-mech pilot, the Archivist, and Isa all sound human. Even the Ancestor was barely muffled by his helmet, and even then, he was speaking a foreign language.

Also, I noticed in the first game, whenever "the God King" is said, "Infinity" is the word that is audible.

Ahhhh I love lord of light! It's such a good book!

And I think some of the deathless maybe so big brcause of genetic engineering, I mean if tey have tech that allows them to live forever it seems reasonable that they could make themselves look like monsters or just be giant humans. And in the novels TEL specifically calls daerils QIP mutants.

And to the person that said something about it taking place on an Alien planet, if you watch the final cutscene of IB1 closely you can tell that the planet you're on is Earth (the continents are visible), however, the moon is destroyed.

Are we? I hope not. LOL

I guess only a few can take him on as of yet. Few as in, not enough to win the mob prize.
