You can choose to do NG+ after you beat the game. I don't know what your level has to do with this though, as that doesn't reset under any circumstances. Once you are in a NG+, however, your items will always reset automatically after each victory over the god king, so in that case, you should hold off on killing one of the other bosses and just keep dying until you are ready to move on.
I believe you can also reset your + game to birth 1 as many times as you like, so long as you don't mind actually going back to birth 1.
When you beat the god king and finish the game, you will essentially go back to the start and replay the campaign from the beginning. There will be the option to start a new game+ underneath your original character game slot. My advice is not to press the new game + option until you are at least level 60 because even the very first enemy in new game + has 5000 energy level and is extremely fast. Note that the new game + option, as long as you don't select it, will reset to the level you are at the last time you beat the god king so you can run through the main game a couple of times just to level up more. Also, in the new update, you have the option to completely reset new game +. So even if you start into it a bit too early, go back to campaign, level up some more, defeat the god king again, reset new game + and it'll kick back in at you're new higher level.
Not as of this update. Hitting the reset to rebirth 1 button under options while in a + game will act just like it did if your were in a normal game. The reset button in the character select screen is the one that resets all progress.
Woh... Just got an awesome gem again when I checked gem forge as I was gonna do a Clash Mob quest... "On Slash get 800 health" Pretty sweet, especially that my Lv 162 character only has 9800 hp using the Vile Armor!
Whoa!! I just got this amazing gem "On 5 combo continue combo" for sword and shield class. This makes the combos for the light class similar to that of dual wielding plus the added benefits of a shield (with a rainbow gem) add a titan break gem (or 2 with the paga ring) and it will be a one sided show.
LOL... the current clash mob quest "Kill Lv1000 Dark Fiend" is no match for my Holy Band Mage Build... 809 Magic is actually pretty good Magic fully recharges in about 15 seconds.
Haha... I also have an "On magic gain 2000 health" gem. Makes all offensive gems kinda like Holy Band babies.
Anyone make a rare drop gem above 21%? Just want to know if I should keep trying for something higher or sell the few I have.
I made a drop rare 31%...no idea how though If anyone has an attack gem recipe, could you please post it?
Are there really formulas? I was under the impression that forging 3 gems will give you 1 gem that is 1 class higher than the highest class of the 3. The other 2 are just fodders, that's why i always use the cheapest gems together with one high quality gem. Ends up good so far. And I got the Dual Parry All this way, and Parry Deals 800 damage and some other good stuff.

I didnt mean to sound rude, the phrase has always been a metaphor to me. Like, "not playing FF7 in your entire life is a half of your life lost..." You get the point. Anyways, that is just awesome to be at the top of the world and being the best at one thing a lot of people do. Lv3000+, I wonder if id get there someday.
