I have news. Kinda insignificant but I'd like to know what you all think. Since they announced infinity blade dungeons the site has said coming soon in 2012. Now it just says coming soon. That's it. So I don't what to think. Either now it's like "coming soon coming soon" oooorrrrr now it could come out 2013. That really opens up a realm of possibilities and since "coming soon in 2012" has already meant 8 months so far I'm kind of scratching my head. Let me know your thoughts.
Sounds like they are no longer sure they can get it ready for release in 2012. Unfortunate, but we (some of us) always knew it would take a long time to produce a game like this.
I'm still crossing my fingers for a 2012 release. I guess we'll see what happens. Maybe they're waiting for the toucharcade forum page to get to page 46, in which case they're close!
I guess it depends on your settings. I've got mine set to 40 postings per page, we aren't anywhere near 1500 in this thread.
I know! I find that so strange. There are so many terrible games out there that have THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of comments. This is quite possibly going to be the top grossing and potentially top selling game on iOS. Yet nobody one this extremely popular iPhone/iPad site has much to say about it. Sounds like a case for Encyclopedia Brown. Maybe he can dig up a release date.
Hey gents I keep an eye on this forum and appreciate the extensive knowledge base you guys have that I selfishly use to my benefit and never give back. I'm an old OLDSCHOOL gamer like compuserve ( lol ) MUD ( now better known as MMOROG ) NeverWinter Nights , Shadow of Yesirbus, Meridian , (91-92-1993-ish ) THEN ULtima came and revamped and really set the bar for all others going forward. Last game I did any grinding was Lineage 2 , 7 years ago. Married with a wonderful son and wife but now have RL grind. No more 11 hour PVP hunting parties for me. So seeing these iPhone graphics Wild Blood , Infinity Blade , blow me away . I remember having to upgrade my graphics card and memory just to not lag on Siege nights with 11,000+ ppl on one of 8 servers! Now my phone can do it better! Moores law baby. Anyway, that was my intro to this thread so you'd know these next couple sentences come from a good place , not a uber LEET Gamer like u guys. Waiting for IBD has been more than frustrating. And still with all my might to not surrender them my business based on lack of patience I'll be up their smiling givibg them my $. Honestly though who is their PR guy? He's either Gilligan or Galalileo ! This thread alone dominates on just this site, and also most others, even if you change your G search results to Another language and advance search for just 24 hours you'll see no less than 60 new replies a day in every language on every respectable gamer boards. Yes... their shaking the Hornets' Nest but guess what .. Once released all forgiviven... LMAO.. That is assuming they have tweaked , debugged, and Delta tested with multi layer ghost pings from any decent server farm to simulate what could be just off the chart online play and arena PVP ( pretty sure I saw that would be in there or very soon after launch ) . Point is when you hype and tease for this long they cant have a fat chick walk out in the runway . Not to mention their previous abortion launch. This game better blow rainbow sprinkles up my asz while I'm playing AND give me a happy ending each time I log off. The obvious has been mentioned before .. Either genius marketing or serious code build problems ( in which case they have to work backwards to solve , compare it to having to start a puzzle not with the corners and flat side pieces but with the center piece first ). To boot they have someone monitoring these and other forums to keep a tab on our temp . If IBD is nothing short of heaven in all aspects they will have ZERO cred for every game going forward and that means big revenue hit. And yes a couple bad titles can crush a gaming company (IonStorm , Atari, Clover, cyan, and just now 38 Studios.. to many to list ). Long winded run on sentences I know.. Just a reality check that in the end we're not the captive helpless victims we may feel like... The last laugh is ours.. Better give me a perfect diamond in exchange for their continual lack of info and IMO way too early trailer peak conisidering it's Oct and still nada . My bet is next few weeks, its cleared for them to have front page news all to themselves . Past Oct they have heavy hitters competion coming and they won't be the only hottie in the club. It's not as if we're not buying other games in the meantime to fill the void, that's 3 Quaterly consecutive loss of porebtial capital that could be going in their pockets . Oh and btw I stumbled on Death Dome that is an obvious IB skin on a cow , but I mention only because its free and done in very nice Japanese anime ghost in a shell way. I'm done already but it was similiar enough to satisfy two nights not thinking about IBD and cost me Nothng. Anyway .. Carry on Guys and TY for the quality boards and discussion. Are we assuming that this is coming out on the 23rd now? If this was ready in the summer and they were holding onto this I would be somewhat ticked, but if it was ready like a month ago and apple asked them to hold off until the October event I'm ok with it. Either way this is no longer an insta-buy for me. Baldur's Gate on the other hand ill be clicking buy as soon as it hits.
I can't see Epic Games releasing it straight away without any new news or trailers. They may demo it on the new device (iPad mini) but my guess is at they will release the game around 30 October - 10 November.
