My guess is they will demo and release this game with the iPad mini release. Apple will demo it on stage and the release will coeincide with the iPad mini release. This is my guess and speculation.
Who knows if it will be released, it would be a total surprise but this has been the craziest week in iOS. Rayman gets released , Streetfighter tekken, tons of awesome games go on sale. Nova 3 gets voice chat and expansion, infinity blade 2 gets an expansion, update. More being released tonight. Is it me or is iOS just exploding ???!!
Ok your wrong I get it. Nobody knows but the developers. But that is my guess it will be an iPad mini highlight.
Stf x tekken is a terrible port, only 10 chac, online frame drop issue, no full health bar for your 2nd chac. Infinity blade 2 DID NOT get expansion, its just an update for new iOS 6 and just adding 2 different item Nova 3, still doesn't fix the online lag issue, still doesn't get rid of hackers Well, I don't see anything good today. Maybe I will give a try to Rayman
Geez, now I'm bummed out ! JK. Nova 3 is still great. Hackers are a part of any fps game, just have to ignore them and quit the game, create a private game.
Yeah, I know, it's wishful thinking. But with today's release of the iPhone 5, I thought there may be a few big game releases to celebrate and was hoping this was one of them. Just strange that supposedly the game was ready to go earlier this year and there were blogs that had said that Epic was asked by Apple to hold off on the release. You'd think if it wasn't at the iPhone 5 announcement that it may be on the day of its release. Probably not....
The game wasn't ready to go earlier this year. The developer never said that. If you're relying on random blogs, there are blogs that say stupid, wrong stuff all the time.
I'm also surprised that we are still waiting for this game. It is September 21 and still no word of the game. When it didn't come out when touch arcade predicted it I figured it would just come out this past Wednesday or maybe today when the iPhone 5 launched. But it still hasn't. I'm mad just like everyone else. But we're only mad because we want this game so much. They advertised it as running this great on the new iPad so therefore it has to come out within the new iPads life before the new one comes out. Fear not friends. It's coming soon. It has to. I just hate how they haven't given us a single update. Nothing. They've just left us in the dark for the past almost 7 months. Weak.
When it does come out, it will be worth the wait. I can't see it being any later than end of October.
I understand the development grind and I appreciate the obvious time and effort they have put into this game. I think upset better describes my feelings. When a developer says coming soon I expect it to actually be soon. And to just give me something. But it's obvious that they're making us sweat to boost sales and I respect that. I just can't wait to play it. I will master and destroy it. Wah.
What I don't like is they know they're milking it for all it's worth whether it's done or not. There was a thread on Epic's forums regarding the game with all the speculation that it was going to be released during Apple's press conference. People were talking about it for days prior to the press conference. No one from Epic responded until the day of the conference saying they had nothing new to say. They could have commented in the prior days, but, of course, they wanted to build up as much hype as they could. On the other hand, they pissed off a lot of people too so not sure if it did much good. I'm sure they know how close they are. And I'm sure they could at least give a general time frame. But, as others have mentioned, we've really heard absolutely nothing from them in months (the "nothing new" was indeed nothing).
I've seen so much speculation on it now that quite frankly I don't believe a word on this game that comes out of the Internet any more. Hope is a good thing, but when it's dangled like a carrot it becomes a power and that's just wrong. By the way that's not getting at you, just saying in general. But your post made me think of that
Ya man. Agreed. There's so much speculation that I'm not listening to anything anymore. There's so much garbage going around and the sad thing is that a lot of the speculation is from legitimate tech sites. Even toucharcade joined in in the speculation. Though, I thought it was gonna come out too. So I won't hold that against them. It wouldn't be bad if I just had a release date. Anything. My girlfriend wants o kill them too because she has to hear my complain and speculate about this 3x a day. Needless to say when this game comes out I will be extremely happy.
