This is a fighting game. That's all. And the gameplay seems awesome for this sort of game. With incredible graphics. Why do you speak about an other type of game here ? This isn't an RPG. If you don't like fighting games, so don't buy this game, but if you like this genre it's a no brainer in my opinion... Rage is an "on rail" shooter, and, to say true, a very BAD "on rail" shooter. IB looks incredible for a fighting game, really...
OMG! It won't play on my 2nd Gen Touch! I'm shocked! Just kidding, but still feeling a tad jealous of those of you who will be playing this. And felt the need to "contribute" to the nearly 100 pages here.
Getting less sales won't convince them to add in virtual controls. Getting less sales will convince them not to make any more games using the Unreal Engine. If you want to see continued first-party support of the Unreal Engine on your iDevice, then you better buy this game. Epic is going out on a limb here and it's not because they have to. They can get along perfectly fine as a company without ever again making another iDevice game. iOS support is optional for Epic. It's not a requirement.
You sir, are awesome. I agree completely. Take each game for what it is. I'm no whining because Aralon will have simple swordfighting (compared to this) and I won't complain about the limited roaming in IB. One thing I'm hoping for is a hardcore mode once we beat it like Fallout. Stuff weighs, wounds heal slowly, less health, etc. I'm just afraid I'll beat this on my 4th try or so.
After re-reading, this got me more excited: "The fighting is just as deep as the character management. Both you and the enemies have a good number of moves, and you're constantly on the edge of your seat, trying to figure out which way to dodge the next attack so you don't get hit. The fights are very fun, and can be quite intense. I'm not a big fighting game fan either, but I'm enjoying every fight in this game." I know, with MC2: BP, sometimes I'm at the edge of my seat in multiplayer. I can just imagine, with stats leveled and a great move set how intense multiplayer will be. If the AI is as great as the preview seems to say, then imagine how grand the game will be against people.
I'm pretty excited for this game now. No it doesn't have free roam, but the combat looks amazing and innovative. This truly is a game that could have only really been accomplished on the iOS, which is great. Also graphics are really raising the bar, so at the end of the day, I'm not losing out really, only gaining
I dont know if you guys have already seen this video. Ever since the begining of the teasers and trailers IB had earlier on september(back when was called Project Sword) i was a little bit concerned at how good this game would run on the 3GS. because as i have seen all of the tips and teasers we viewers had , were represented with an iphone 4.(felt kinda like excluded, since i am a proudly 3GS user ) But after seeing this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMRR7lrJNVo i am more confident that this game will run as smoothly as any other 4th gen device (of course w/the lack of retina , and better processor) . I just wish Chair and Epic marketed it as more of an action game and less of an RPG. I was expecting an free-roaming RPG when it was announced and was really disappointed when I read IGN's previews that it was basically just a fighting game. Who knows, I may still buy it if it proves to be an amazing action game, but it just seems really disappointing. Aralon looks great though.
I learned long ago, to never expect. Expectations are our own creation, therefore we set a standard in which nothing can measure up to. Thus creating our own let downs. Infinity Blade looks fantastic. If you look at it this way: A very pretty, finger sword fighting game. Where the sword fighting has depth and an engrossing combat system. In addition to the sword fighting, you gain stats and abilities; loot and equipment which helps build your character abilities and alter your appearance. It sounds really amazing, when you look at Infinity Blade for what it is VS. What it Infinity Blade isn't. So far, theres nothing quite like it on the AppStore.
Woot! 1000 And I hope there is a lot of different weapons and spells. I wonder if different weapons have different stats like speed and parrying.
Thanks! Completely agree with your views as well. With knowing what the game actually plays like; I just hope there is a good deal of weapon & armor content. That alone will be worth it for me with the visual diversity to keep the game fresh on the eyes, and the rpg elements to keep me engaged with the battles and game overall. Guess we'll see in a couple days. Well said.

From the look of the last preview posted, the AI is pretty decent - there are multiple times the opponent blocks his swipes. It also appeared to be the first bloodline, so I think the first few opponents are supposed to be easier (to help you get the hang of it). I think multiplayer will really be where this game takes off. I'm interested to see how it works, and what sort of benefits are reaped from winning matches . . . does anyone know what those might be? This thing comes out the end of tomorrow . . . Now that I know Aralon will be the 16th, just waiting for the final word on Dungeon Defenders.
