You guys have serious problems if you desire moving around with a joystick so much. There's absolutely nothing you gain by having joystick movement controls other than wasting your time (you can't say, dodge an attack or something with your silly joystick in this game). They gave us the option to explore around without having to use a joystick, I really don't see a problem with this at all. Unless you were expecting the game to play like WoW or something... which is open world combat. Infinity Blade is not open-world-combat. I am glad they did this. I don't want to spend extra 6-10 seconds to walk up to a treasure chest when I can just tap on it once I see it.
For a console/PC game, I like exploring and having the freedom, but for touchscreen, I have to agree that this is for the best.
You have a serious problem if you think that the movement isn't limited by the tap to move system, after watching the videos above. The game may as well be a series of fights with nothing in between for all I care. There is no/little exploration involved, which is what many people (including myself) enjoy. If this recent news if the first you've heard, then I can understand. But for people like me who have been following it for months now, this news about the movement system is understandably disappointing, especially when it was originally advertised/described as an open-world action RPG, and not a fighting game.
this as in this anonymous person on the internet happens to know what he's talking about in that particular post and i completely agree.
I know right! Look at the gameplay video... all swiping, no walking, no multiplayer... I actually think that Fruit Ninja is better, and the only reason to question that is because of Unreal Engine graphics. If the graphics looked like the BBC2 graphics (which suck IMO), nobody would even consider buying this game.
This post is correct. I thought it was going to be open ended exploration something like Epic Citidel, but after watching the three videos its merely a fighting a game. The only "adventure" you get are cutscenes. Like wtf?
Infinity Blade is a really nice fighting game with some level building, combos, and magic. For $5.99, I think that's alright. Street Fighter IV is $9.99.
The trick to most RPGs is to get the best weapon available. In this case after you max out it's EXP then you have to resort to weaker weapons thus killing you. BTW wouldn't it be cool to actually be able to get the sword Infinity Blade in the game Infinity Blade?
Perhaps outside the castle, where you fight monsters it is 'on-rails' with predetermined pathings (as demonstrated in the second video) but I hope you can move freely inside the castle like in Epic Citadel with the point and click movement.
Infinity Blade: the legendary blade erupted by the God King. Whomever it kills it absorbs their essence growing stronger and stronger until the god King will be unbeatable.
They should port that blade! If they could they shouldry blade from different games like Cloud strife's blade dorm FFVII
yeah and like street fighter IV we will be getting free updates like new enemies & weapons... Infinity Blade will be amazing even without the exploration feature...
