Is infinity blade going to be a rail game? That would honestly suck big time... With such graphics and beauty i want to explore...
No, definitely no virtual stick. You just click yourself from boss to boss. Nothing to explore. Welcome to the land of AAA minigames
woot? its on rails man. who told u it wasnt? you move based on predetermined but branching paths. it's basically point and click and then the game takes over the walking. but u still have control of the camera i think. or at least when you're static cuz from a previous article they did mention the camera will go to a 3rd person perspective as you move to the next destination. so yes. the game's exploration aspect of it is still point and click based which is actually not that bad. but i'd really liked it if they made it free roam, ditched the virtual controller and just stuck with touch to move method :\ but then again, pathing would be another problem for them to handle which is probably why they made it the way they made it now.
Yup, that's right. It's basically on-rails. But the rails fork off in different directions and you can look around. So it's like Return to Mysterious Island.
It's kind of half on rails. Not full though, but it's not like Epic Citadel either. Somewhere between Rage and Epic Citadel. You go figure out how that works lol.
I think i have hear from some commentaries coming from the author that is not actually a "half on rails game". It's a game like Samurai Way of The Warrior where you click the screen to move. If somebody have the link please put it, anyway i don't want to have a fake idea.
Will this be the last great iOS game of 2010 or the first great iOS game of 2011? Come on, don't leave us hanging Epic!
its not on rail lol just read their interviews on pocketgamer or previous pages anyway please dont compare this game with the worse game of the year 'RAGE' "Rage" was really shit but this game is the truly game game included Story Levels Maps Weapons Characters ...
I think sometimes people don't know some basic differences between gameplays... On rails and Point and Click are completely different concepts... On rails means that the camera or your point of view will travel on a pre-defined "rail" until the end of a stage... This concept worked on the Arcade version of Time Crisis, but IMO doesn't work on anywhere else. Point and click makes the CHARACTER walk on a pre-defined path, but you decide when it starts, and where it stops. This gameplay works brilliantly on Adventures and other styles just fine until today. If the gameplay matches the game concept, I don't mind a point-and-click game. Of course, it's very hard to grasp the concept of a game that is not yet released, but I wouldn't mind that IB would be a point'n'click game, but it should match it's concept... Now stating that the game is on Rails is just wrong... At least now...
Yay. . . Kill Red Block was just released. mebbe now someone can get around to 'approving' Infinity Blade!?! [Edit] - anyone else - waiting for Infinity Blade - not buy anything on iTunes over the past couple of days??
I haven't bought anything in a little bit. I did get Lego Harry Potter and the universal build of Galaxy on Fire 2... But otherwise, I've been holding off on purchases - especially, until all of the titles on my list release. Here's my list: Aralon, Infinity Blade, Nova 2, Shadow Guardian, Hooga, Battleheart, World of Goo, Dungeon Defenders, Superbrothers ep:Sword and Sorcery, Dungeon Hunter 2 and Eternal Legacy (maybe)
