It seems nothing major released this week as the AppStore didn't update the spotlight apps or anything.
For some reason it doesn't seem exactly what I expected, but I don't think I am in the right position to make the call if it looks as good as it has been hyped up to be at the moment.
Difference of opinion, I guess... Mouthwatering graphics Tons of armor, weapons and spells to unlock Bosses that gain new strength and better tactics on repeated attempts/playthroughs Seemingly addictive swipe based swordplay. Imagine the Wii on your screen, but with your finger Cool setting Lastly, confirmed free updates: New areas, bosses, equipment, items and multiplayer. The multiplayer seems neat, especially as you gain better gear and grow stronger...you could totally have a bad ass knight to show off... Final coolness: You equipment gives xp and builds strength. Do you utilize a strong weapon, with no xp left to give, or use a lowly weapon to gain a little more xp? Also, your shield can only withstand so much pain...then rendered no good. Those are the main reasons I am beyond jazzed for Infinity Blade. BTW...Epic is notoriously reliable in the console space. I believe they will follow through tremendously, as well as keep their promise of updates.
Despite this game not being a full fledged rpg title. It still looks like a really damn fun game to play tho
other new report: http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/home/50729366-76/game-chair-mustard-infinity.html.csp?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter it MUST be the best professional idevice game ever: and its really fantastic on ipad:
Posted yesterday. We noticed in the article, it said it was releasing in a few days... I wonder if it was an error. Maybe they meant a few weeks? If not, on which day do you think it would release?
Imagine how awesome it would be if they just spend twice as long 8 vs 4 months to make this and just charged twice the price. I'd much raTher pay for quality than quantity.
Wouldn't you guys rather spend chaos rings price on this game if it took 8 months (still shorter time frame than it takes to make psp or ds games) than $10 bucks for 4 months dev time?
Well look how long sword and sorcery has been in development despite it's simple graphics. Or aralon, or even final fantasy tactics which is a port. Do you believe this is truly gonna be a real game with quality and define the laws of game development logic and be made in 4 months? I don't know why you guys are even looking so much forward to it or hyping it up once that fact got revealed they freaking! Only spend pocket hours on it. I mean look how rage turned out in 2 months. So short and bad even 6 months wouldn't have helped.
Don't agree... I prefer a 4-months-work of a great team using a great technology, than a year-work of an amateur team without resources... You mentioned FFT... Square is the one spending pocket money on an amateur team that can't even port a game properly, lost their September deadline, and have developed just crappy games... Rage developers never hid the fact that the game was an exploration to a new platform. And in 2 months they manage to give a lesson of PR, even with Carmack talking to the community... The only things that we know about FFT since E3 is a dude holding a mockup screen and the psp trailer masked on an iphone frame... Maybe we can ask Josh from Crescent Moon how long would it take to make Aralon if they had the same budget and infrastructure that Chair and Epic have, or "the big ones"... I don't think that Infinity Blade will be the total jewel of modern gaming, but I expect a cool and beautiful experience (and you can put Aralon here as well), that may open the iOS doors to more serious and better looking games...
