No, he's saying that he hopes the game has multiple saving slots.

The fact that both of us prefer the iPad, it's not going to help I guess. ANyways, the reason I mentioned it here was to remind the importance of multiple save slots and the fact that even my 5 yr old is looking forward to this game

why should it be more than 500mb?! what makes 500 better than 400?
the size of a game has nothing todo with its quality or length.
if they add a 1gb intro video this does not make a better game.. just bigger download.

@superman: well possible you should tell your kids to stay off the ipad.
even multiple save slots won't help you if your kid are not using them accordingly. so you are better off just buying him his own ipad.. its only 499, he will be happy, guranteed.

I think he was just guessing the size of the game.

I think it might actually be more than 500mb, considering all of the detailed textures that are going in.

I really don't understand all this negative reaction over such a groundbreaking game. About 90% of the games on the App Store are casual or pick-up-and-play games and there's obviously a reason for that. If you guys want hardcore gaming, then why the hell did you get an iPod Touch/iPhone or an iPad?! If you're looking for God of War of some sort, go stick to your PSP. I could care less if Infinity Sword is mostly on rails battles with in-between point and click adventures. I think the real keys here are that there should be (i) a great background story, (ii) a ton of battles, (iii) a really cool fighting system that allows parrys, counters, a nice amount of moves (swiping/touching gestures rather than idiotic button mashing is ideal if they could really execute on a complex battle system, that they seem to have in mind), (iv) side quests, and maybe (v) an extra special chapter for another character in the story. Regardless I am very much willing to buy this game which will likely cost as much as Chaos Rings HD.

Couldn't agree more. I've always thought that multiple profiles/saved games should be a mainstay in long-term games. I honestly believe that the developers are smart enough to include it. Hopefully I'm right.

    Lol.

If there's over 5 hours of gameplay, I'm going to guess 600mb at $12.99.

I was going to guess over $10 until I found out about the gameplay. Now I'm thinking it will be less since is isn't a console like experience.

Console like experiences are usually priced at $50 and over. Gears of War 3, for example, is a $60 game. Even if Infinity Blade is dialed down, I can't see them selling it for less than $9.99. Too much work went into it for them to underprice it.

And what perhaps is your definition of a console like experience?

A few pages back i mentioned a Gamecube/PS2 title from Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil creator) and Suda 51 (Madworld, No More Heroes) called Killer 7. That experience leads me to believe Infinity Blade has a similar control scheme for navigating the world.

That was a multi console experience.

House of Dead and Time Crisis (rails) were console experiences on Dreamcast (Sega)...

Or Final Fantasy XIII, where you had no camera control and funneled through linear tunnels and had battles, story then a rinse and repeat. For all of it's lack of freedom, it was still a fine game....

    Anyhow.....

Hell most AppStore games would have been console experiences at one point. In gaming history or another.

This Infinity Blade game in it's present state, I believe, is the beginning of the current gen experience on the idevice.

Probably a Chaos Rings hybrid sort of navigation....

I believe it will be 16-20$

You make some good points, But an on rails RPG? It just doesn't seem like it lives up to its full potential. But as the first Unreal game its a nice start.

I'll be honest... I really hope the majority of this game isn't point and move. If it is, oh well, but I'd much rather be able to move around freely. It would feel a lot more realistic and immersive that way. In real life, we walk forward. We don't point to where we want to move, and then quickly glide over in that direction.

Sadly I think it will all be point and click. I agree that it is stupid, especially when it's possible to move around freely in Epic Citadel.

Beta testing for big game companies
Before the trailer I thought it was the same as Epic Citadel, but then bigger, more complete, enemies, items, quests, etc. Unfortunately I'm starting to think it's just fighting. That maybe means a no buy for me.
