Yeah this is the sort of thing you do when you're desperate for traffic, as it's juicy source link material. Sad that they're spoiling the game to do it, though.
Yeah... It felt like a slap in the face when i read the review saying "i wont spoil the story, but i'll spoil the intro."
Yeah I can only imagine how pumped i would have become if I booted the game up and found myself controlling Spoiler the God King ... It would have been nice if the people that quoted had put it in the spoiler highlight. Oh well, it's not the worst spoiler I've had to live through.
It's technically alternative. Just go look up some of their other songs (Round and Round, Radioactive, and Demons) to get an idea what they're like. Really good band in my opinion.
I honestly don't see the big deal. It's just the intro, and anyone who's read the book could've seen that coming. It's not like they even say what happens beyond "you play as raidriar"
It's just a few inches up, so it wouldn't make a difference. Might as well ruin it for other people. Just kidding, I changed it. It's all Touchgen's fault anyway.
Well, for the ones who HAVEN'T read the book would prefer to go "holy crap im playing Spoiler Radriar The God King OMGWTFBBQ!" when they start the game up. And for those of us who HAVE read the book, we wont have that deductive "ah, that makes sense" reaction anymore, as we already did that prematurely upon reading that preview. There's no real sense of satisfation on anything premature. However you put it, it spoiled that intro... For everyone.
If anyone is gonna post actual events that happen in IB3 or from the new book, that's a spoiler. Please use the spoiler tags. Don't assume everyone knows what you do or doesn't care about it.
Damn. I was so psyched to check out this thread, since I am practically foaming at the mouth for this game. Then you guys spoiled the intro. And then continued to spoil the intro while talking about spoiling the intro. Guess I just need to avoid the thread. Bummer, man.
Technically IB2 had a timer on its gem forge, but all it really meant was that it took playing through one rebirth to finish something, since the span of time in-between rebirths was always at least "six months" of game-time. So I'm not too worried about the timers on forging gems or reforging weapons/shields/etc.
