Yeah. Most of iOS developers, even the big companies don't properly compress their files. They all get lazy (gameloft is the first to come to mind). None of the files should be as large as they are. For instance, Chaos Rings was like 300 MB on initial download. Then Square Enix adds voice acting and suddenly the game is around a GB. this shouldn't be the case. Not even remotely. I suspect that the 1.4 GB size is more then enough for all of the environments and applaud Chair for actually taking the time to do so. If more developers took the time, I wouldn't have to constantly delete old games to make room for new ones. Buttholes.

    Hey guys, quick question.

IB3 is not supported for iPod Touch 3rd gen, but will it at least run and be playable? Can't get a newer iPod Touch at the moment, but would like to play this game on release.

I've been frequenting the Infinity Blade Forums and one of the new features mentioned is that the characters fight dynamically. For example if you're fighting a staff weapons character and his staff breaks in half in the middle of the fight, than he will use the two halls and fight like a dual weaponed enemy. Also enemy's are apparently going to be able to use their environment to fight, in one of the game plays I watched an enemy tries to kill you with a giant pillar.

On a side note I've been saving up some money for the past couple of months, and combined with the money I'll get from selling my old iPad I am pretty sure I will have enough to buy the iPad 5. Then I'll be able to play this game in optimized 64 bit goodness.

    Called it.

This is taken from the touchgen.com hands on preview.

"I won’t spoil the story – which is far deeper – but the game prologues with you playing as the God King himself, Raidriar, as you confront the Worker of Secrets from IB2."

^yeah Touchgen actually went a lot deeper into the game than TA. But it makes a lot of sense, now that I think about it. They have to at least try to get people that didn't read the book up to speed I guess...

For anyone that hasn't read the books, DO IT. They're amazing, although they are both really short.

A great example of excellent optimization is the original Call of duty World at war on iOS. I believe it's a whopping 80mb and that's with all 4 world at world maps. We all know that all these maps are done with the original details of the console maps. Shi no numa and Der Riese are very large maps. Then treyarch/activision came out with Black ops zombies and I believe it's somewhere around 900 mb to 1 gb and a buggy mess unfortunately.

    Codwaw, optimization at it's best.

Technically alot of people called it, considering Chair said that the game begins where the book leaves off and anyone that read the book knows the end.

And to mirror what brrobotix said, the books are amazing and I definitely recommend them to anybody that has been taught how to read.

When it comes to Saphire and Emerald, they used the same graphics for them because they like to keep the trilogies looking the same, you feel? And the graphics from Pearl to Heart Gold are not the same, FYI, bc they're from a different series if games. Graphics from Pearl to Platinum were they same bc they're in the same trilogy.

And what did u mean by 7.7?

I didn't realize chair said that. And I wasn't trying to claim I was the only one who called it, but its still a cool bit of information.

And to mirror everyone else that's said it, the books are fantastic, and do a lot to expand on the characters personalities and all that, and I HIGHLY recommend them as well :p

The Album IS the Single, so by preordering the album you're actually just preordering Monster.

"Resulting from a unique collaboration between Imagine Dragons and ChAIR, “Monster” was written for and choreographed to debut during a crucial battle in Infinity Blade III. Additionally, players that click on the ChAIR-designed album cover appearing in-game will earn an exclusive weapon, the Imagine Dragon axe. The song will also be heard any time this weapon is used during battle."

Do we have to preorder the song too the get it? Article doesn't explain well.

I doubt it, but I pre-ordered it because Imagine Dragon's a good band. They did work for Ubisoft and promoting Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

This one thing just clicked my mind. Apple let us pre-order song and books. Why not apps too. Wouldn't it be great if they let us pre-order Infinty blade 3. It's going to be out this week anyway.
Also what kind of song is monster? Like Rock....?

I can't believe I didn't see this thread earlier. Huge fan of Infinity Blade, can't wait to play it.
Wonder if ChAIR will provide us a content update with Lantimor. That castle was epic!

ChAIR said each castle is the size of the IB1 castle.

Everyone else respected what Chair requested of them in regards to things to avoid spoiling in the preview. But, hey, anything for those sweet, sweet page views I suppose.

Yeah... Would've been a lot cooler to have been surprised by that when I loaded up the game. Touchgen's been going downhill lately.
