Most sequels reuse assets, to an extent. If they started reusing all the locations or most of the fight animations without adding new ones, that's where a problem would arise.
According to Donald Mustard the uncompressed game size at the moment is 1.4 gigs. I don't know much abut this so what do you think the exact size will be?
That's surprisingly small I can just delete IB2 and replace it with IB3, no need to clean up any more space
I really, really hope they've fixed the parry bug that popped up in IB2. Each time I try to get back into playing it, that's the one thing that keeps making me ragequit.
Uncompressed would relate to the installed file size. Compressed would be the file size as its listed in the App Store description and is the installer file. So the space you'll need free if you're installing from the App Store on device would be 1.4gb plus the listed file size on App Store and only the 1.4gb if you're installing from iTunes on a computer. Should probably work out at needing around somewhere between 2.2gb to 2.4gb free if install from App Store on device, more or less.
You mean sometimes you still get hit even though you have successfully parried the attack? Most veteran folks have come to accept that it's a feature to make battles more unpredictable. If you want to avoid it, remember not to parry any sophisticated-looking moves like an overhead strike or a spinning slash.
Ugh. There's that again. It's been brought up multiple times and I believe was replied to by some of the chair people. It's no bug. EDIT: didnt see Squashy's reply above.
Yeah, I'll freely admit I was likely the person who brought it up last time, too, but I didn't remember Chair ever formally weighing in on the topic. I won't stir that particular pot again, I promise. Just had to vent that one last time.
In other news, though, is it weird that I'm just as excited about what the new music will sound like as I am about the rest of the game? The score for IB2 was awesome, and I have to imagine IB3 will expand on the musical themes of both IB1 and IB2 in order to create something even more awesome. Haven't been able to confirm if Josh Aker will be back to compose the score again, but I assume he will be.
Ahaha... I think that came out wrong (my post i mean... In case it brings up anymore misunderstanding ). I merely was agreeing and I posted that as additional thoughts regarding your post.
I'm really happy with the size too. I didn't know about the file size of IB2 until I installed it. I thought it would be around 2 gigs but when I saw 1.2 gigs I was quite surprised and happy. And as always this one surprised me too. There are only 3 games that really surprised me! 1. IB2 2. Riptide GP2 3. Deus Ex: The Fall
Guys one fast question! What's with that Monster-Single. It says you can pre-order it. But it also says its album only. I don't want to buy the album but the single. Can somebody explain it? Also how much times Infinity Blade: Awakening had price drop. I want to buy it too but I had so much unfortunes recently I'm reluctant. It may have a price drop on the launch!
Yes,i'm happy too for the filesize,but IB2 it's 1.2GB,IB3 1.4GB At launch,with a game that have 8 castle,it's only 200MB more?strange..
Each of those castle is probably somewhat smaller than one main castle in the previous games. This makes me ponder for a second. Exploring one castle with many branching paths is exciting, but hopping from one simplistic location to another, could that provide the same captivation?
From the trailer I can only see the dragon as a new enemy type, and even then they didn't show (or at least I didn't see) a real battle with the dragon, which somehow I think it will use the beast moveset. The rest of the enemies still use the animations and movesets from the first and second games. About Monster Hunter and Pokemon, they are on another league. About Pokemon, yes, it's a bit lazy that they reused graphics from Pearl to Heart Gold and from Zaphiro to Esmerald, but in that franchise animations/graphics aren't as important as in IB. In IB having an enemy that you already defeated in a previous entry with the same animations and attacks just doesn't make it challenging at all, thus killing a good part of the gameplay. IB is too animation/cutscene-based, and reusing assets from previous games is way more obvious than in other games. I watched a battle with the God King and another battle with a staff-based character in two interviews about IB3 and they used the SAME moves from IB2, without any other new move. I think the staff enemy was a new one. I only played MHFU (well, and Dynamic Hunting) so I can't talk about that franchise, but Capcom is known for being lazy and greedy. And that parry bug is a bug 7.7
I'm very excited with this launch. Played IB1, read the 1st book and played IB2. Now I have four days to read the 2nd book before I play this game
Could be some serious optimization of storage space, like compressing sound and texture files until they are needed. And by no means does storage space show how large those 8 castles are.
