One and only thing I desire from IB3: a boss as tough as the classic God King. Or at least Ealoseum. Nothing in IB2 comes close to that. The battle with the dragon shown in the last Apple event just seems like an interactive cutscene.
I agree. I remember nearly throwing my iPod while fighting Ealoseum, he was so freaking fast and had all those crazy combinations of moves.
I get people calling IB repetitive. I understand people asking for more of a chance to explore the world, to get the game off rails, etc. I like it how it is though. Punch out was one of my favourite NES games. Super Punch out was one of my favourite SNES games. IB has essentially taken that idea, added some Myst style exploration, a fairly robust "loot" system and a post apocalyptic sci-fi/fantasy storyline. Like I said, I understand people wanting it to be more than what it is. For me, it's fine the way it is though. One day we'll get a spin off like dungeons, or something else. I'll be glad to have it. For now, I'll be first in line for a slight upgrade and some new environments and enemies.
I hear you guys about wanting IB3 not to stray away from it's forumula. Sometime I forget I have a ton of games on Ps3, PC that I can explore on. Stuff like Amnesia,Amnesia 2, Torchlight,The last of us, Borderlands 2. Therefore for a mobile game IB does all we can ask. The series is great.
Unbelievable. Lazy?? Really?? For the backgrounds? Do you even realise how much power would be needed in a device to have the background textures equal to the foreground ones? Or how much battery power it would consume in the process? You do know its a mobile device and not a custom built pc connected to a mains power source. As for this term "lazy" that's been bandied around a lot lately, go design a game, develop it to the highest possible standards and then try and make it run on a mobile device and see what you actually have to do before terming one of the industry leaders as lazy. Just ridiculous statement that's shows nothing but a complete lack of understanding of game design and tailoring to and limitations of mobile devices.
I've already worked with plenty that have. You might need to get a better understanding of what mobile is. Comparisons to console games or consoles are about as relevant as.. Well, nothing. One point everybody seems to forget is a console has a mains power supply. An iPhone has a battery. A very simple example. To make the game you seem to want would run down your battery in less than ten minutes. So before you make you're null and void console comparisons, get some understanding of mobile and the limitations of the platform. End off. Don't reply. You're arguments are just more and more repetitive and show no understanding of the platform.
What's the problem? It's hardly off topic, people are complaining about the game so it isn't off topic, and barely any debates end in one side being convinced anyway
Don't like it don't buy it like it buy it no talot of in between ground here unless your not sure about it but please fighting about what they could have done should have done is pointless just accept what they have done. And if that's what you like great if not well then too bad it's too late.
When a thread goes from discussing an upcoming game's features, gameplay, story, and posting pics to just a constant back--and-forth between two members duking it out over pointless background textures, battery life and console comparisons, something went wrong. For the record, "something goes wrong" like this fairly often in other threads. It's getting tiresome and repetitive, from both sides. I disagree with plenty of things other members post, but I try not to jump on them every time I see something I perceive as wrong. Choose your battles. Some people and some ideas just aren't worth your valuable time.
Not really because neither would I believe a single thing he says anyway because he simply doesn't have the understanding of the platform to make the statements. Ram and battery comparison particularly entertained me because its not just ram that matters but GPU and CPU also which combined certainly have an effect on battery life. I'm also sure that a Vita or 3Ds are not consoles anyway which is not aligned to his original ps2 statement anyway. As for the Nova and MC4 comparison, well I'm pretty sure he hasn't played enough IB3 to actually even make that judgement. As to the Apple engineers making console comparisons, he misses the keyword of "near". Near console experiences. Any that I've spoken to still know that an iPhone/iPad isn't a console or a replacement for a console. Near would still be the key word. But anyway, he does like to continuously go around in the same circle.
But we are discussing the games features and gameplay, many suggesting that it is very repetitive and needs to be changed to make the game more exciting, sure there are also other discussions about smaller issues but they are all valid concerns, there's nothing wrong with pointing something out you wish was done better
Background textures that 99.9% of gamers won't pay attention to is hardly useful discussion. And yeah, I get the irony of this and the past few posts of mine here.
