HISTORY and NEW CONTENT are really amazing. but since 95% of this game is fighting i think its on that part they should've been focusing. by adding new combats mechanics like: combining 2 fighting styles, allowing us to throw fire balls like the enemies, inserting a RAGEMODE where siris is faster and deals more damages, a random critical damage system, allowing us to use environement while fighting, adding a seconday weapon with limited use than can break enemies guard or deal more damage ( having to dodge or counter the entire enemy combo before attacking can get really annoying ), AND ON TOP OF ALL...... A FREAKIN' WIDER VARIETY OF COMBOS!!! but i'll still enjoy the game i hope there's a lot more they didn't reveal about the gameplay even thought i doubt so.

How about the abillity to throw down your shield halfway through a battle to be faster, more agile and deal more damage?

Sorry about what I said I didn't mean to imply that there were any changes in the combat that I saw that were extreme or wondrous but rather I feel that all the changes of the game sort of are just amazing honestly I never have been this hyped up for a game maybe it's just a personal preference to this game and maybe I'm just a trapped in idiot who knows all I know is something about everything I have seen has just made me want this game personally I like the ability to fight in games their way I've always been okay with that just slash one way is fine by me but there's enough going on here that it has effected my mind in such a way that it makes me think this going to be good and if they left out any changes too the combat that will enthrall others to play this game than I say thank you but for me everything I have heard has enticed me to get this game. Wow I am terrible at keeping short and to the point sometimes.

Everyone was hoping for that different element, but it was canceled :p

That would make sword and shield weapons OP since that would make them sword and shield and dual at the same time, which would kill the purpose behind using dual.

IMO Chair should take a look at the IB clones in the AppStore. Some things like the different Supers from Avengers Initiative were cool.

Yeah that'd be cool too. Was just naming what was in my mind. The fact is there's so many of them that the only reason i can see why they didn't ad such things is laziness!! You know since their framework from IB2 was done they didn t have to do that much more work and they're saving money btw!!

Well don't read any of my long comments out loud because I am not any good with commas, or so it would seem I just never an sure where I should put them.

Nope, still Clashmob. You want multiplayer like IB1, buy and play IB1. They need to keep people interested in older games too.

Am I the only one who thinks that some sort of random map, sort like Diablo, with free roaming would add a LOT to the game?
I mean...randomly generated maps and RPGs walk hand in hand ever since...well, ever! It would be so easy to change from free roaming to a battle screen, like in Final Fantasy games, and it would make the game a lot less repetitve and a lot more interesting!

Changing a 30 million $ formula would be pretty stupid, don't you think?

    I'm with you on this.

Infinity blade 3 will be real eye candy and a great game but if it's just the same as the other 2 but with even better graphics, what's the point?

It's like Left for Dead on pc. It's a fantastic game, then they made LFD2, which is also good but they added a couple new enemy types. I also heard LFD3 will come out... my point is why keep adding sequels if the game is essentially the same??

Not really, if you can keep the basics and the integrity of the game but also implement some cool add ons and a few different elements.

You might want to think closer to 60 million $ (as of this week), rather than 30, if you take in to account all aspects of the Infinity Blade franchise from the ios game itself to the arcade game (IB:FX) to the books.
The first two games alone have been downloaded over 11 million times (total for 1 and 2 combined).

Of course that's total revenue generated over almost three years and not profit. Development cost and marketing alone would take a tidy chunk out of that revenue.

Taking that attitude too far causes stagnation. You can't just add new paint and a larger world and call it a day, counting on the name brand alone to swing you. Other members have had some great ideas, be it a wounding/dismemberment mechanic, environmental hazards, more fighting styles, more dynamic fights, less reused animations, etc. I want to see some innovation, some new ideas.

The basics and the bulk of the integrity of the game is what they kept. Freeroam would be nice, but it wouldnt be IB anymore. It's a game Trilogy and it's maintaining the image and its ties to the previous titles.

It's like Patapon 4 can never be a Platformer nor Diablo 4 be an FPS. IB made the formula, and they stick to its core. That doesnt, at all, make a game bad.

They could consider spinoffs and make them different, like IB Dungeons, but i think they made a good call on keeping the IB formula intact for the main IB Titles and adding only things that would complement the current formula.

Speaking of additions, i am excited to see what the "Stat-skills" are. It works a bit like Spiral's skill system, where the higher the stats go, the more you unlock skills tied to those stats. I think that would make for some good customization than the first one. This time, we might have "builds" for Siris and then Issa.
