DAmn!! Iso excited about the dynamic fighting system. They said enemy weapons will sometimes break, and they'll start using the environment!!!! Like ripping off a column and start attacking you with it. Also i hope there'll be 8 times more deathless ( which means more treasures )!!
I've played both IB 1 and 2 a lot, but it's been a while, and the story was always somewhat a mystery/confusing. I haven't read the books either. Can anyone give me a brief plot summary of the series??
That animated intro is up on YouTube now, in case anyone was having problems following the previous link. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel

I can't believe all animations and effects are still the same since IB1. As much as I love this series, this seems like another COD case.
While I can understand why Chair is keeping the game on-rails I feel like they should have at least made the cobat better by allowing people to dodge around enemies and perhaps use the environment to their advantage. For example, how much cooler would it be if by dodging a hammer swing from an enemy in a certain place you'd make him smash his hammer into a column making part of the roof fall down and trap him? Or how about having some sort of dismemberment? Cutting a leg or an arm off an enemy would definitely change things up a little. But no, instead we get quick time events where you have to swipe in a certain direction... (Those weren't in Infinity Blade 2, right? I remember tapping the enemies in certain spots for more damage, but not the quick time events where you had to swipe in a certain direction. Note: It's been quite some time since I last played an Infinity Blade game.)
You forgot Swipe Swipe , tap tap , dodge , dodge break, Parry. I think I'll mix it up this time with a little Tappity tap, dodge, parry, tappity, swipe followed by a Skadoosh !!!
That would be very cool, and at least add some skill for the game. Right now it's about remembering the attacks for the enemies, dodge them and counter attack but without taking any other thing into account. Rolling around them and hitting their back for extra damage and things like that would make the game at least a bit different. Instead, it seems there isn't anything really new for the gameplay aside Isa's combat styles. Damn, even the arrows for the QTE and the GUI are the same. And I don't think there was any QTE in IB or IB2 either.
As much as I am a huge fan of the series. I don't know if I want to fork over more money for beautiful graphics. I was hoping for something a little different, maybe some free roam exploration. I was hoping to do a little pillaging in my spare time between battles, but damn it, no pillaging, AAARRGH.
As said countless times before, if there's one thing that would kill the game would be free roam. The gameplay is about restarting the campaign a thousand times. Do you really think it would be fun to go through the same area again and again and again with the same events each time using a joystick? In most RPGs exploration gets REALLY boring after a while, and that's because in most of them there's a part of the game where you'll need to go again to a past location. At least in IB you can put the cutscenes in fast forward. What bothers me is that IB is more about the combat than the exploration, yet combat still feels the same by taking a look at the trailers.
Everyone that's commenting based on just the trailers and videos don't get too sure of yourself that this game won't bring more things to the table who knows how much it's possible was left out I personally from the videos I have seen have at most seen 20 seconds of combat footage sure it may be the same in most areas but the changes I see are good enough for me right now I will gladly pick this game up as soon as it comes out and without any hesitation because I know that any of what was said or shown is true that I'm gonna love it.
when you slay an enemy in infinity blade instead of having blood we see a sort of wierd light.... i think now you have your answer everything gory was removed on purpose!!
Then tell us, other than the addition of quick time events what notable changes that actually change the gameplay do you see?
I do hear what you're saying but it would be nice for a little free roam. Being able to find certain clues to a rare weapon? Something to change it up from IB1 and 2... but you make some valid points also. I love the series. I was just hoping for a different element. With all this being said, I still might get the game.
