Yup!!! I always hear, if you have the skill you can beat the guy who bought everything. That's only true if you've put in overtime to get the very, very best weapons and armor. I, personally, just think buying upgrades devalues/strays away from what true multiplayer really is. Yeah, Dec. 1 is gonna take a while to get here!
Any talk about multiplayer vs. modes is moot if the players are bad. And they're bad. Very very very bad. I swear I'm not boasting - not even that great at IB, for example haven't been able to beat Zero Mech a 2nd time - but I had well over 95% wins. Something like 60% of titans never use rage. 80% seemingly make no effort to tap out of clashes. Again a majority don't get the correct ring. For some reason people just stink at this game. I made a strategy thread here at Touch Arcade because I was frustrated at how awful the competition was. The stuff I wrote there is very basic but vanishingly few people do it. Hopefully Chair gets rid of versus completely (the new mob thing sounds interesting I'm looking forward to that) in IB2; that mode was too depressing in the first game.
Does anyone know what special effects will not run on a iPhone 4 compared to iPhone 4s? I'am sure what ever they are i can live without them for 6 months until the iPhone 5 re emerges from the grave.
I think the non-4s/iPad 2 users will get everything except the dynamic lighting, and maybe some smaller details (koi in the pond, leaves in falling etc). Basically I'm under the impression it'll look like IB1, which is still fantastic btw
Yeah I don't think the difference will be to big either, maybe a bit sharper and faster and better 3d graphics, but that's it I don't think you'll have to buy a 4s just because of the game experience
Hey guys, I found an article in this digital magazine about Infinity Blade 2. There's an entire interview in it with Chair. Enjoy! http://www.egmmag.com/
wow nice find! I'm continuing to like what I'm hearing. It all sounds so amazing. Looking at the screenshots it looks like at least some part of the game has an asian setting with asian monster designs. Very cool!
Its not working on my iPod or desktop :\ I even updated my flash player D: Can someone post what new things the article mentions as well as the screen shots? Pleasepleaseplease?
Oops, nevermind I figured out my problem. And woah that is impressive. The golden guy sorta looked like one of the Deathless that you kill in the dungeon
^ good you got it to work! yeah the designs are really cool. epic/chair always pulls some great art direction
So, because your prospective opponents lack in skill, you not only want Chair to remove multiplayer for all of those that greatly enjoy it, but also deprive you of the chance for better challengers? Congratulations, you've just proposed one of the most radically circular arguments in gaming history Read my suggestion for knight versus knight combat again. I wholeheartedly believe that if players were allowed to fight exclusively with the skills and methods they use in single player, they would faire far better and offer you that challenge you seek. Not to mention that knights fight quicker and more dynamic than monsters, meaning that players would gain additional focused practice from fighting each other.
It looks like the game starts during the last portion of the book. If you look at concept art from the book (such as the female deathless) you can see the character fighting we in one of the screenshots. Anyway though, I can't wait, it looks amazing, the new villains look awesome.
Of all the new features, I think i'm looking forward to the different weapon styles the most. It's going to add so much strategy, something that was lacking in the first game.
OH SNAPS!! lol figures she has no face here..... at least the book said she was good looking and not a darth vader and oh damn those environments/graphics are so gorgeous
They might show faces this game, you can see Siris fighting the female deathless, and in the book after killing her he takes her helmet off. If the opening of the game follows the end of the book we could end up seeing several unhelmeted characters
it just doesn't seem like their style to put faces. esp if you put on the helmets that should show your face, it's always left dark. anyhow that's what i think but who knows. does anyone think the Godking is the real good guy? i think the dialogue in the 1st game + the book still leads me to believe that he's the one keeping the deathless from slaughtering humans. which kinda means you're a bad guy lol
