Story! Just finished reading the book in a single read through, and I must say I liked it more then I imagined I would! The story was very interesting (especially after playing Infinity Blade since it came out... ._.) the characters seemed believable and had very entertaining conversations, often humorous! Although at first I wasn't as excited for Infinity Blade 2, reading the book and watching the trailer again made me wish December 1st came faster! Very good book, recommend it for suresis
i'm glad you liked it. one more person to talk about the story with i loved it as well. What are you thoughts about Sirus and the God King? I think i posted mine with another member on some pages way back. i remember when the game was still new everyone was trying to figure out what language it was. it was THAT realistic. so they did quite a good job. and of course, with more dialogue this time it'll just be too much of a hassle to handle making more lines. ----------------- http://epicgames.com/community/2011/11/interview-with-infinity-blade-awakening-author-brandon-sanderson/ ^ interview with the author of the book!
The language must have some Spanish to it, as the game begins with: Padre, which means father. PS: I'm a translator and I'd love to translate the book into Spanish
I always imagined saydhi's palace as being much more exotic middle eastern style. Oh well. I loved the book by the way, hope that make more.
In an interview they called it Pangean. And the main character says Padria (with a hard "A" sound), not padre
Really? Have you got the transcipt or something? There's really no way to know how a language is written otherwise.
Does anyone know if IB2 won't be repetitive. I mean instead of battling a monster, cutscene, battling a monster cutscene. Is there gonna be free movement?
Ha I wish! I was just trying to spell it how it sounded. I wonder how much work they put into that language, it is really cool sounding.
Repetitive? I don't think I'd call it that, but it does follow that formula, only now there's branching paths so that you don't follow the same path every play through. There's also 50 unique enemies, instead of 10, and 3 different ways to fight them instead of 1. So I don't think it's gonna be repetitive.
I wish I had the transcript too! BTW good idea for a parody @ the guy who mentioned Spanglish-Blade. "Father, les voy a sacar la shit a estos f-ing pendejos"
And to elaborate, the paths are very branching, like there's a few very different areas (each the size of IB1), each with multiple paths through them.
http://epicgames.com/community/2011/11/weapon-classes-in-infinity-blade-2-dual-wielding/ New info (sort of)! Epic goes into depth about the new duel wielding option
More info! And new gameplay footage!!! So much awesome. http://www.gamespot.com/infinity-blade-ii/videos/infinity-blade-ii-visuals-video-6346438 http://www.theverge.com/2011/11/21/2577319/infinity-blade-2-ios-preview Sidenote: earlier someone predicted you'd have to fight a statue that comes to life, looks like they were right Also: only about a week left!!!
I wasn't asking about ways of fighting, or how many enemies there are. I just want to know if there'll be free play, so you can explore lands by your own free will. Instead of defeating a monster then cut-scene.
