Hey everyone, we're happy to announce that our indie strategy RPG, Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander, is coming out on iOS on Oct 19th, 2017! Here's our trailer: Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander is a unique blend of base building, exploration, and a deep tactical JRPG style combat system with capital starships and their idiosyncratic officers, all captured in stunningly beautiful modernized pixel graphics. The recent launch of the Lightspeed Edition on PC brought many new features to the base game and all of those features and contents are now packed into the iOS release of Halcyon 6™. Thanks for checking us out, we hope to see you on launch day on Oct 19th! Ken
Premium, $8.99. https://mobile.twitter.com/Halcyon6Game/status/915320857454661632 https://mobile.twitter.com/Halcyon6Game/status/913391588952494080 Internet requirement, I don't think so.
i've just check this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWPT22djtJI guys, it'll be a sure winner, my finger is already on the red button waiting for it! maybe this is a stupid question, but i would like to know if it includes the original Halcyon 6 + enhancements from the Lightspeed Edition, or the original one was a totally different game? edit > it runs on an iPhone 6S?
Hey Gwarmaxx, good questions! The iOS version has everything including the new Lightspeed Edition features. It's 100% the same FULL game as what's on PC And yes it runs nicely on the iPhone 6S. Thanks! Ken
Hi Xcxc, No online requirement and yup it's a Premium game, launch price is $8.99. The game is 100% the full content of what's in the current PC version of Halcyon 6: Lightspeed Edition. We kept the Starbase Commander name instead because we didn't want to confuse mobile gamers since this is the first edition on mobile and it's more descriptive of the game itself. Thanks! Ken
Fantastic game played it a lot on my computer. @Ken Do know what the final memory and ios software specs are? Thank in advance.
Hi Mastery51, Minimum spec is iOS 10 or above and we recommend devices with 1GB or more memory. Thanks, Ken
Hmmm. This is a game that seems like it was made for touch devices. But the PC version on Steam is now on sale for 9 bucks.
Meh releases ? Been some great releases recently. The last few weeks have cost me loads with games such as Morphite, Commandos, Aka to blue, Nobleman, the witness and others This one also looks great. Day 1 purchase for sure
agree with you, we had a couple of wonderful weeks... Morphite, Commandos and Strangers Things have all my attention... and can't wait for Halcyon 6, maybe it'll be GOTY for me, the first steam version was really outstanding (i don't play the Lightspeed enhanced one though).
specifically with morphite.. waited so long for that game, so much hype and got delayed even. But after playing it maybe 4 hours, just can't get into it. Just my take on morphite, we have different taste no need to raise your pitchforks or anything
@Halcyon6: sorry never played the game before, but can we customize the ships (choose weapons etc)? or do they have fixed stats? and how's replayability? (continue after finishing the story mode?)
There are 3 classes of ships (Tactical, Science, Engineering) and 5 tiers for each class. As you research and unlock the tiers, you unlock types of powers, which can be slotted into your ships. There are more powers than slots so you definitely want to choose your loadouts depending on your mission. Each officer has a skill tree as well and they bring their own powers to battle for both ship and ground combat as well. The galaxy map is static but resource nodes and enemy fleets are procedurally generated. You also have diplomatic relations with the alien species which can unlock allied ships to help you in battle. Your choices there can vary each playthrough.
