I really tried to like Incoherence. But it feels like you play a mobile game from 2010. Graphics are just images and the story feels like an empty shell. The puzzles are sometimes overcomplicated so its no wonder they put in a hint system that solves everything if you go step by step. I truly wonder why this got game of the week on Toucharcade. Its such a random game with nothing shiny.

I completed, and enjoyed the game. It’s shorter than other Glitch games, but still enjoyable, and the puzzles are fair, probably a bit easier than other Glitch games as well.

Theres just one puzzle that I found a bit weird, since one has to actually “fail” at it first before succeeding at it later. I’m not sure whether it’s a design flaw, or whether the puzzle is set up that way on purpose. The one that I’m referring to is where one has to copy an “escape route” in 6 moves. However, the starting point of the puzzle is in the wrong place to “win” it on the first try, and one has to “fail” at least once, if not twice, to get the starting marker positioned in the right place to succeed at it in the required 6 moves. If the developer sees this post, maybe he/she could indicate whether the puzzle is deliberately designed that way.

Glad you liked it! Yea, it was purposefuly a shorter game. Our last two games both took 2 years each and none of our other games took less than 8 months each so we wanted a shorter cycle. This was about 4 months so a decidedly shorter game ( although I don't think too short for the price ) was the result.

Yes that puzzle design is purposeful. It's kind of a meta puzzled due to the nature of the game itself being about paths through an escape route and how if you don't start the path right you'll have to try again until you get it and escape.

This game isn‘t free in germany, so it shouldn‘t be signed as „free“ in toucharcade in this region.

It was possibly during a sale? We don't inform Toucharcade of price changes so it's wherever it pulls its data from.
