Try playing with one finger. In order to jump you only need to make a very small upward movement of the finger - you don't stop touching the screen at all. I tested it on my mum. No, really.

I'm buying this in a minute. I'm a huge fan of atmospheric games with a unique graphic style designed for touchscreens...if you didn't already know.

Besides, I cant be the only person who owns Flaboo!, can I? Yeah, it's an older game, but it shows that this studio takes their time instead of flooding the appstore to male up revenue in-between their hallmark releases. Besides, Incobuto for iPad has been on my wishlist since it came out. Honestly, I was hoping it would be ported to Universal, but this should be better...games designed around ios tech tend to play better when a seperate version is released.

Anyway, time to reinstall Flaboo! And if you're looking for an older, great casual game I -bet- you missed, pick it up!

I bought this when it first came out for the iPad and loved it. I'm getting this just because I enjoyed it so much and want to support the dev. I'm sure it'll look great on my iPhone 5.

Glad to hear that. Bought it the instance i saw it was available for iPhone as i heard great things about the iPad version, and the purchase is absolutely worth it just for the devilishly wicked writing, but having a brilliant game wrapped around it makes me even more happy.

What you could do is just rename the app a bit. Instead of "incobotomini" as it says on the home screen, call it "IncobotoMini." That way, it'll look nicer. Rocketcat and Madgarden did that, as Punch Quest was first labeled "punchquest" in the home screen, but the changed it to "PunchQuest."

It's more than likely that it's the way it is because IncobotoMini wouldn't fit. Then again, when "Slender Rising" can fit as it is, why can't "Punch Quest" or even "Incoboto Mini" fit. I dunno lol.

No, "IncobotoMini" will fit. Tried it with a folder that I labeled "IncobotoMini." App name limits are a little weird sometimes, though.

The game crashes constantly now. Seems to have gotten worst the further I get in the game. Even crashes after a hard reset.

Anyone else experiencing this? I'm on iphone 5 still running 6.0

I heard a similar report last night from someone else with an iPhone 5 so I looked into it. I managed to get it to crash on the iPhone 5 emulator myself, and - while doing so - I found a weird bit of code I don't remember adding in there. I removed it, and the crash disappeared... semi-magically. Really don't get what was going on there... very weird.

Anyhow, I've sent an update to Apple already (yesterday), so anyone with issues should have them sorted out in a couple of days. Luckily it's not December yet, so the turnaround should still be speedy-ish.

In the meantime, thanks for your patience. I play-tested the game to death on everything *but* an iPhone 5, so it's my fault - even if I don't really understand the spooky reasons for it.

    Hang in there!

Probably not, I'm afraid. I'm turning my attention to the next project - Bemuse - as much as I possibly can at the moment. It'll be a kind of 'spiritual sequel', but not actually related to Incoboto's universe.

My reasons for not extending the game, incidentally are:-

    1) It's a finite story with a very definite ending. I'm not sure I could elegantly crowbar new worlds in without diluting or muddying the storyline.

    2) Making these particular levels was incredibly, mind-scramblingly difficult.

The problem with puzzle games is that they are like ice-scultpures. It takes a stupid amount of time and effort to make them, and then they're dead within an hour or so, with no real way of re-using them.

The next project is going to be designed around an ever-growing world from the start, and will hopefully give you folks plenty of opportunities to help craft the experience along the way.

I know that's probably not the most professional or politic answer to the question, but I like to be as honest as possible with people - especially those who have spent money supporting my work.

Thanks for listening to me witter.

No that's a good reason didn't know it would mess up the story. Also guess it would be better to focus on the new game but thanks for finally porting this gem to the iPhone/ iPad. Is bemuse going to be on iPad/iPhone as well and also touch 4 support lol

Not for a bit. But not as much of a 'bit' as Incoboto took. :D
