Subtitles: From now on I will try to always include that information since I`m pretty sure that it`s an Must-have Feature in a Game if someone isn`t a native english Speaker or deaf or generelly just prefer to play without any Music/Soundeffects.
Buying tonight xD only im afraid of episodic games (except for taleteling games)... So many great titles with episode one in title (bladeslinger, spiral,m.u.s.e.,abducted...) and almost a year has passed for some titles and still no updated, no new episodes and no talk about it :/ devs should stop makeing episodic titles if they dont plan to finish them. But thats just my opinion.
Meh... watching Sanuku's video, the game looks to have very high production values with lots of polish in the GUI, but im not so fond of the visible dual static vstick controls. Are there options for invisible dynamic sticks instead? Also, in the intro, the smoke animation is tied onto the cigarette graphic which is a bit lazy IMO. Feels like a GIF tied onto the character's hand.
@ KoRoV... I agree with you 100% that I would love to see sequels for all my favorite games. The problem is these developers Are not going to make sequels for games that gain them no profit. This is their job. If people don't want to pay for their games this will be the end result. When premium games are released for what they are worth, but people don't purchase until they are $0.99 or free, this is the end result. Developers find a new job or move onto a what will hopefully be a profitable venture. I wouldn't, however, worry too much about chillingo not being able to produce a sequel if the sales are okay. They're not going under anytime soon.
Thank you, Sanuku, for your info, and I will be hitting that buy button first thing tomorrow morning! ( Thanks for your reply as well, copaeci)
Thanks! Hopefully the developers might chime in on how many episodes we're looking at. If Sanuku gets through both episodes over the weekend without tarnishing any clothing, I'll take my chances with the sharting..
I agree with that. I think everybody does. I agree again, but I can forgive this kind of thing on an indie game.
Ditto. Also seems super slow, movement and gameplay wise. I like puzzles, but I also don't like being bored.
Yea those dual sticks looks and works like a leftover from the Unreal mobile engine tech demo. One stick to move, and swipe + tap with your other thumb would work a lot better on a touch screen. But I guess it could be a deliberate thing to keep the whole thing slow paced, which might work if done right I guess.
Well,it's also my opinion..taking apart TELLTALE GAMES,when you're sure that the episodes came out, other Devs put out the first episode, you buy the season pack, and maybe you will never see them,or,pass years and the idevice become old without support for news episode and you already pay the season pack,it work like this..
AMZINGLY AWESOME game BRUTALLY MURDERED by the controls!! Seriously the controls in this one make you wanna yell at the screen every 5 secs "SERIOUSLY?!" I've been dealing with virtual sticks for years (since mc1) and i've come to love them (like 4 years ago) but this is the worst controlled game the appstore has ever seen ( and i played warmgun)!! NO CONTROLLER SUPPORT BTW. Camera sensibility is the LOWEST possible and cant be modified (probably dev team's sense of humour because i cant think of anything else). But i'm gonna finish the game because controls aside the gameplay's awesomeness is actually WAY BEYOND my ecpectations ( and i was already pumped up for this one since annoucement!)
What the hell is remenant? Looked it up and I think they mean remnant, pretty bad when they can't get the screenshots right, unless this is something where it's spelled a different way in different countries (color/colour). Big turn-off for me, what does that say about the rest of the game? Is this one of those Engrish translation?
Just looked in the upcoming section, and I was right about it using the Unreal mobile engine "tech demo" joysticks. Deliberate decision or "lets just keep those test-level-out joysticks and be done with it"? Are there any parts that sorta requires faster movements?
