I lol'd at the thought of some crazy developer (i.e - Khalid Siakh) charging people for "Virtual Ammunition". Read the article here: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPhone/App+Store/news.asp?c=13936
I lol'd at the thought of someone actually reading the whole license agreement to try and find something funny
Oh wow, I hadn't thought about that before, in game purchases will make these buying points things all that much bigger.
You just said that earlier today about Khalid Shaikh. http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=304761#post304761
Oh yeah, I forgot about those crappy text-based MMOs which rob the gullible people of their money. I thought paying £20 for some 'virtual points' in a seperate app was bad enough, but this will make things even more rediculous. I hope the devs don't abuse this privilege to the extent where incomplete games become too expensive. I don't mind paying more for a full game with all the content, but I don't really agree with the paying more for more content. I think everything should be included in the game from the start, even if it means a higher price tag. That way there is less to worry about and it just makes life easier.
im happy about what in-app purchases will do to these MMOs because if people are daft enough to pay for those imaginary points then its there problem and also the IAP will mean the removal of all those crappy extra apps which are just points upgrades. i can see apples app count dropping when it approves updates to all PlayMesh and Storm8 apps.
Those are the saddest people I can't even come up with a word that's bad enough for 'em Somehow pitiable just doesn't sound right I mean, really, that's what I think my friends would have done back in junior high (and those are prolly the people who play 'em).
Those rpg app's would be alright if they spent more then a week editing the same codebase, giving it a new skin (boat, cars, vampires etc) and making a worthwhile app. Right now they are just money grabbers.
