EcoTorque Games, I don't know where you guys came from, but you guys have just put yourselves on the map with Impulse GP. INCREDIBLE!!! I don't know if it's just the fact I'm in awe that you crammed such a gorgeous game in 125 MBs of installed space...but whether it's the imaginative & gorgeous tracks, the various modes, the catchy music, the FLAWLESS variety of controls...WOW!!! FANTASTIC, FANTASTIC WORK GUYS!
Amen! Spot on! I am loving this game! I really really really really love the slide control! What an awesome idea! Thank you devs! Billy
As far as I'm concerned, this is never leaving my device. It's like the .Decluster of racing games. You know what I mean, right? A smaller game by a smaller company that just outshines every massive publisher/developer-backed project and makes them look like a joke. Still can't grasp how awesome this is and how amazing the sense of speed is. Hell...I may just throw this out there, but this may just beat AG Drive by an inch due to how perfect the controls are!
Hey metalcasket, am I right that the the videos don't do this justice? I'm still on the fence with this, not sure why... The vids just didn't grab me.
Loving this game. It's closer to Repulze than AG Drive in mechanics, which I prefer myself. The drag racing bit is thrilling, especially on the later levels. I still haven't a genuine replacement for Wipeout on iOS but we keep getting closer each time!
@ Metalcasket, thanks for your passion on this one, it's what pushed me to buy it, and my initial impression is way beyond what I expected. Silky smooth, love the slider control, it plays really well ( better IMO than the videos portray). Very happy with my purchase, definitely gonna be putting some time into this. Cheers
mmmh,i think i'm gonna buy it now just to support the dev and encourange him a little more to add MFI support sometime soon It's always much appreciated if the devs show up here and listen to suggestions, thanks!I can imagine how frustrated it must be to earn just"peanuts"on the appstore if you don't have one of these clashcows (HA). But i won't play it before MFI shows up...i'm still fighting my way through AG Drive. That one could easily be my favorite iOS racer and it's SO damn close to F-Zero...but touch/tilt controls for a racer is just not my cup of tea.
Great game.Very polished. However,i'm having issues with the game not saving my progress correctly.......More specifically,my time & number of stars in "Lap Mode".Everything else seems to be saving fine. Here is the problem - I get a new best time & number of stars, everything seems OK until i quit the game & retsart it later...It's as if i've never raced on "Lap mode",my best time isn't there or the stars i achieved. The only thing that makes my progress stick,is starting a game in "race mode" then quiting. This work-around works 100% every time. But is obviously a bit of a pain. Anybody else having this issue? (IOS 8,IPad AIR- Re-installed & done reset).
I was on the fence but enough praise in the thread was enough for me to support this. WOW....I'm more than impressed. The visuals are very nice looking....the videos really don't do the graphics justice. The levels have this old-school vibrancy to them that reminds me of the old Sega racing games (which always had eye-popping polygonal visuals.....well, once they started making games with polygons anyway). The slide steering is brilliant, and I don't think anyone will disagree. I think it's great MFi is being added, but again the default controls rock. This one took me by surprise. I was goIng to support it anyway, but just playing a few matches, I see myself becoming totally immersed into this experience. Highly recommended!! EDIT: Meant to also add (per prev post by Metal) that this is MUCH better than AG Drive. There's the same sense of speed, but you're not slamming into walls because of overly crazy track design. Between the 2, this is a no-brainer.
Hi retrogamOR, Thanks for the feedback, we haven't seen this problem before but we will investigate the issue and fix it. Watch for the next update. Thanks for supporting ImpulseGP.
Unfortunately no, we tried to avoid using the user's iCloud to store the game progress for the obvious reasons. But if there are enough requests for the this feature we will consider it in the upcoming updates.
This happened to me after I completed a lap for 1 star on the 2nd track, and then beat the race. But in my instance the race stayed open and I showed no lap time for the lap, so even though the race results were saved, I couldn't proceed to the 3rd track because of a message about having to achieve 1 star on the lap event first. I got another 1 star, and played the 3rd track's events and closed down. Came back and no save issue. It was a weird one off. On 6+ 8.3 if that helps
