This thread provides recorded damage data in an attempt to measure the benefits of an enchanted weapon over a normal weapon.

    Preface
Note, the data provided thus far is still very early data and should not be considered definitive. Anything written in this thread is mere opinion based on the data. Only the raw data files are actual concrete info.

There's been alot of "opinions" about how effective enchanted weapons are compared to a normal weapon. People tend to say things like, "a +3 weapon gives +3 to your damage". Usually, in a KRPG, that's the case, but from preliminary data, it doesn't seem to be the case for IMO.

Note, the data presented are all made with normal attacks and not from any skills. The skills you use may or may not work better with an enchanted weapon.

Info on the character used for this experiment and other pertinent data can be found in the stats.txt file.

    Data files
The stats.txt files are meant to be viewed with a simple text-editor like Notepad. You'll see different tabbing if viewed in your browser, so download the it and open with Notepad.

Raw data files and statistics for Kooii can be found here:

    Analysis
Most people right now would probably choose a +4 Practice Sword(referred to in this thread as +4PS) over the Blunt Shortsword(referred to in this thread as NBS). They're probably thinking the +4PS, with base 2-6 damage, will essentially do 6-10 damage and that will be superior to NBS's 4-8.

It turns out the NBS is better for normal attacks. It does more damage, on average, than the +4PS. NBS also does a minimum damage of 7 while +4PS is 5.

Oddly, for the +4PS, I never saw any 6 or 9 damages. This seems to be the case, specifically, for enchanted weapons--due to how their damage works in IMO.
