Just wondering, iMessage works internationally right? I want to persuade some of my friends and family in other countries to upgrade to iOS 5 so I can text them any time.
I think you all need to be running iOS 5 but yes, if you all have iOS 5 then you can text free using iMessage.

Umm, I'd rather not lol. iMessage works great so far. I've been using it to text my friends that also have iOS 5.
If anyone wants to iMessage me as well, send me a PM. iOS 5 is FABULOUS; totally loving it, especially since I've upgraded to a 5G iPod touch from a 3G.
To use iMessage, do both of you just need to have iOS 5, or do you also have to have each other's email in your contacts information?
Given that fact that people not on iOS 5 don't have the messages app yet, I'm going to assume you both need to be upgraded.

I know this probably won't happen, but if Apple releases this on Android and WP7, I wouldn't have to pay for text messages...of course there are people with dumb phones, but I'm sure they'll upgrade sooner or later I'm tired of carriers ripping us off
