Anyone else having trouble seeing other people's scores since the new update landed? The 'copy board' feature no longer works for me, in both the main game and daily mode, meaning I can't see anyone else's boards/scores. I'm running iOS 10.3.3 on an iPhone 6+. Thanks in advance for any info or advice.
Thank you for the info. =D ..... Still a MASTERPIECE of a game!! I've been trying to get my head wrapped around all the new tweaks.... might take a while. =P I'm also having a screen centering issue.... Anyone else? It's just slightly.... lowered....
I'm seeing the same lowered screen, synth. Most noticable with Jeska Nomad. I assume it's a result of making the game compatible with elongated notch phones? I am on record as being less than enamored of the notch—I do not like the notch. Anyway, looking forward to more hours spent on Imbroglio soon. Michael Brough, for the win!
The fix, at least for the leaderboards issues, was submitted to Apple yesterday, so hopefully we'll see it within the next day or two. I too am so looking forward to getting the leaderboards back not for competitive sake (I know it's filled with folk who got the maximum 256 with all of the characters while I'm lucky to break 100 with any of them) but as a neat way to painlessly try all of the latest layouts. I find myself often editing these pro decks by removing really tricky weapons like the Philosopher's Stone (makes it easy to score bonus points but at a very nasty cost).
The new update seems to instantly crash the app when started. Does anybody know what the new mode called “Draft” is, must be something special if it cost that much.
It's a known GC issue, so until addressed in a hotfix, you'll need to disable Game Center (hope it can still track stuff locally).
Did this recently get iPhone X support? Don’t recall it having it before but just downloaded it again and it does.
Despite really respecting his designs, ludic and graphic, I’d never really gotten into 868-HACK so I’d never bothered with this one. Saw this thread pop up and decided to try it. Only $4, right? So glad I did. This is super-compelling and has that one more try quality in spades. Just unlocked the board editing, which is good because so far my only complaint is that on the default layout for the Count you can get kinda boned by the wall shuffle trapping you in a hallway. First hour or so of play and I’m pretty sure that is my favorite tactical puzzler in years. Definitely since Into the Breach. This might even be more elegant than ItB in its simplicity though this has some randomness largely missing in ItB.
Hmmm.... the update seems to be live. Aaaaand.... it's still crashing for me. Dunno if it's a device thing, I'm still rockin my 6S w/ iOS 12.4 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
No, not just you. This GC hotfix DID NOT do the trick. At least now you can purchase the new expansion. So the current easiest work around to play this without GC for now... 1) Turn off your device's Wifi and Cell reception. 2) Start up the game. 3) Go ahead and re-enable Wifi and Cell reception. You can now play the game and purchase the latest expansion but will have no access to the GC leaderboards. Luckily the game will still track your top local scores until yet another patch fixes the GC issues once and for all.
Thanks, LordGek, yeah - that's what I've been doing. Airplane, boot up, turn wifi back on and play. Just sucks not being able to see other boards on the quad-daily boards. =P I also tried to delete it and redownload the game, check to make sure it was the latest (hotfix) update and try again but that didn't work for me either. Hope it's not something super complicated that needs to be fixed now...
Whoa, curious, so you can play the latest update with GC enabled and it doesn't crash? Can you even still see GC leaderboard entries? How many "Friends" do you have on GC? As I recall back in the day a lot of my GC crash issues stemmed from having too many friends on GC (200+). @amusing Grace The new mode is pretty clever. First you'll be given a random choice of 1 of 2 of your currently unlocked heroes, and once chosen, you'll start constructing a board by choosing 1 of 4 randomly chosen weapons. Once your selection is made and placed, you'll get a new choice of 4, and so it continues until your board is filled. After your board is filled but before you start you'll be given one last chance to rearrange your 16 chosen weapons before starting up the match.
Yeah, I can also play both recent updates with no crash, though I just bought the game Tuesday after the first update went live. I’m logged into GC, get the GC pop up when loading, can see the leaderboards, don’t have many friends
