Last one from me and you may know this already, SV, but the man himself just tweeted your AppStore review - quality.
Ha! That's so great! =oP Thanks for letting me know, I had no clue... (I hate my Twitter feed, I need to clean house over there...).
My GOTY just became even better! So much better! LOVE the challenge mode that changes every 4 days! Great to get to know the cards! I love to be limited. This game isn't just game of the year but simply one of the best games ever made.
I've been down and out since the update hit and haven't had a chance to try the new stuff. Hope to get a chance over the next few days and have a feeling I might be asking some questions in this forum. Looking forward to it, though.
Yeah, the new challenge every 4 days has totally made this game click even more. Easily my GOTY, even with the crazy amount of fantastic iOS games that have hit the store this year (I mean seriously, this has to be one of the best years ever for iOS gaming). I've said basically all I can about this one, but still can't stop gushing about it. =oP
This is probably a little late mentioning this, but we did a podcast on Imbroglio and the expansion over at Roguelike Radio, with vivafringe and apple (who you may recognise from the high score boards). Link is http://www.roguelikeradio.com/2016/11/episode-129-imbroglio.html
On Micheal Brough's blog you can read that around 600 people got the expansion, and that it's 10% of all buyers. So, whaaaat? Only 6000 people purchased one of the best board / roguelike / strategy games ever created? # Wow....
That's actually depressing to read. This game and expansion is nothing less than a masterpiece. So simple yet so deep. Loving it. Pedroapan
Right? It makes most of the app store offers feel like cheap plastic toys. Coming back to it daily and learning something new every single time. It's mindblowing how complex Imbroglio is below its simple structure.
I'm actually really disappointed that this didn't make it into the top 10 of the App Store best games of 2016. Not that I expected it to make it, but how good would it have been if one of the games I've played in my 46 years on this planet on any platform had made it into a global top 10. There's still time, Apple, there's still time.
Roguelike is not for everyone. Only true gamers like to play games from the genre. And App Store best games are always boring and genetic ones which are for light gamers. Yeah, Crash Royal sucks to me and I never like the games that were chosen by App Store's staffs. Of course this game is one of the best games of the year. Imbroglio is my personal GotY. The second best of the year is Dungeon Warfare, by the way.
Don't know if it's intended or not, but seems like if I'm controlling a ghost I should be able to attack through a wall. Maybe not, but either way, if I swipe towards an enemy through a wall while controlling an enemy, it crashes the game.
Dungeon Warfare is on sale, currently. And I'm picking it up strictly on your comment, even though TD really isn't my thing. I guess it's a testament to how good Imbroglio really is, to pick up a game based on another Imbroglio-GotY-fan's recommendation.
