Did you try setting the joystick to 8-way digital instead of analogue? That'll make a huge difference!
I got Donkey Kong, the original Mario Bros, and Zaxxon to play fine, among others. Has anyone had any luck with Super Mario Bros, Marvel vs Capcom, or Pitfall?
i just put my whole rom collection inside...no idea which verisons....some run, some not.... Anyway a lot more games are running then the one on the list people post here....just keep experiment I think control ist pretty good. what i dont like is the sound, its really broken. some ideas how to optimize? which settings are best?
I don't like how the dpad/stick works either, but maybe it's because I'm playing on an iPad currently and the thing is ridiculously big. Needlessly so. If they would make it smaller I'm sure it would play better than it does. So I have to agree at least on the iPad that the dpad (whether analog or digital) is pretty terrible. In any case I'll most likely play this with my iControlPad once that arrives. It even has a toggle for setting it to iCP mode. Nifty!
you probably have the wrong version of ROMs.. then it will be broken had the U1-144 set myself, and they are useless.. you need the other ones from an 2000 collection.
Thanks. That worked here. Dodonpachi runs smooth and fine here on iPad 2. What a blast! Complete with sound and all. When it asks "Continue?" (some seconds countdown) hit "Coin" and "Start". Since I hadn't a MAME emulator on my Mac I downloaded MAMEOSX from here (hey it's legal, tA moderators). Put the very same dodonpachi rom into the folder "ROMs" on your Mac (you need to enable OS X to show your user's Library directory—and this is disabled by default, help comes here a Terminal thingy). Start the game via the MAMEOSX list. Here it wouldn't run but that doesn't matter. It produces a ddonpach.nv anyway in the NVRAM folder. Replace that file on your iDevice as described by tA user Tops2.
Yeah, tried this on my iPhone and the dpad works much better on there. The dpad is pretty awful on the iPad due to it being way too big. It's possible this can be tweaked via the settings for dead zone, though. I haven't tried that yet. Still, it should have a dpad sized for the iPad right from the start.
Punch-Out!!! and Super Punch-Out!!! work, although the sound is a bit wonky. No matter, still a great game and one worth mentioning Also, the original MetalSlug works fine too. I'm having a problem with Altered Beast, some of the sprites don't disappear after you kill them. I'm wondering if its related to some of the video settings like the out zone fix now that I think about it. Anyone else have luck with that title?
Ok, 5 bucks to the first person that can figure out how to calibrate the gun in terminator 2 correctly. Totally serious. Got my paypal account ready.
Hi, could anyone please explain how to get the "cheats" to work? I toggle it on but nothing happens in game. Also, is there a "dip switch" mode to toggle amount of lives, difficulty, etc? Thanks! Also, I have it on my ipad 2 and the app crashes everytime I try to access the options menu. Doesn't crash on my ipod touch 4g
Glad im not the only one crashing in options. The jailbroken version doesn't crash. But I think that is the issue, possible that being jail broken makes it unstable?
Both my ipad 2 and ipod touch 4g are not jailbroken. Bummed about the crashing but what a cool app! Is there an auto fire option somewhere in the app also?
iMAME official Game List Here's the official Game List for iMAME: http://code.google.com/p/imame4all/wiki/GameList Hope it helps.
I can't get the cheats to do anything. Don't mind though as I keep pressing the coin button to carry on playing so it's like a cheat for infinite lived
