Thanks for mentioning that game, havent tried that one myself so i'll do that now. Good to hear recommendations of games which arent the 'well known' ones.

Well it took my forever to figure out how to use the programs on my non-jailbroken iPad with iMame, anybody who has ever used a Mac knows the mouse has one button, well at 0230hrs I held down control and a nice little tab that said add file cam up in the imame/docs file, started moving the goodies in and my iCade needs new batterys and the games are sweet, Donkey Kong, Lady Bug, berzek and Mrs Pac-Man run very smooth and with the iCade makes the ordeal worth it.

Yep its my favourite app ! So many great games on that list, been trying to free up room to add some of the larger filesizes. I love some of the early 80's games such as Ladybug. I had a lot of conversions for my home computer in the 80's, obviously no way as good but its so great having the originals now. Playing track n field brings back memories, dont want to damage my buttons too much though by 'running' !

I'm just happy with the two Bomb Jack games

    Thanks i'll check those out

My 'tip' is Penguin Kun-Wars. Funny 'sport' type game where you have to throw balls to your opponents side, when the time runs out the person with the most loses. Its a lot of fun and gets very addictive

I found it in the app store a while back but US only, emailed the devs to ask if they'll release it in the European app store but they said no ! So i tried legally to get this game, couldnt so i'm now happy i've got this original MAME version.

Three Wonders is excellent, like a great Metal Slug/Ghost n Goblins type game. Very good

Thanks for those, i know of a few of them but i'll check the other ones out.

Always loved the 1942 set of games so its nice to have the prequel and sequel

Metro Cross is an excellent gem of a game, one of my favourites. Rainbow Islands is a classic and Badlands was a great 'sequel' to Super Sprint, something a bit different.

I mainly play SF and Neo Geo games and am accustomed to the Japanese button layout on their cabinets. Its a lot more ergonomic a layout for 6 button games than what you're essentially allowed to use on the iCade.

That said, I found a really easy fix that involves taking it apart. On the plus side, thats really the only difficult part, because low and behold, the iCade uses actual Cherry Switches :) The best part, is the build quality, all the leads use pressure mounted clips you can just slide on and off. This made modding it easy, you just swap the non-black leads to the buttons you want to swap with, in my case the far outside buttons. I was done in about 10 minutes, 90% of that on the screwing/unscrewing.

Very impressed by the iCade's quality through and through.

Was Blazing Star on one of the lists? IMHO it's the best shmup on the Neo-Geo.

Oh, I was looking on the Shoryuken forum and a few guys have already switched out the iCade stick and buttons with Sanwa parts. LOL! Let the modding begin!
