So if I removed one game, that could make a completely separate game suddenly stop working, even though the two games are totally unrelated? How could I possibly know what games need what games to run? This has got to be the most confusing program I've ever worked with...
No. He meant another rom of the same game. Eg the simsons has a few roms: simps2pj "Simpsons, The (2 Players Japan)" simpsn2p "Simpsons, The (2 Players)" simpsons "Simpsons, The (4 Players)" If u take one out it may remove needed files for the working one. Not for every game. Some games work with just one rom.
Ah, I get it. I did remove one of those earlier. I was able to get it working now (and Donkey Kong as well). Thanks!
That's actually exactly what I ended up doing for Street Fighter II...I just kept guessing and got it right. Thanks for that other tip: Clear whatever's been assigned by pressing b and exit. I'm sure that'll come in handy.
Quick question The only thing that's stopping me upgrading to ios5 is mame4all.. A friend of mine managed to get it before it was taken down off the app store. Is there any way I can use his mame4all on mine if I upgrade ( and loose my jb ) ??
Whatever. Wow, thank you. I appreciate being subtly insulted because I won't read back the page which didn't include the info you stated was there. I hope you pick up the sarcasm.
very interesting to learn about the mame emulator in the different posts here. now a new question. how can i copy more than one rom at one time in the documents folder?Copy and paste more roms dosent work.
If you are copying roms INTO the documents folder, cut and paste does work. If you want them copies OUT of the folder you need to highlight then drag!
Unable to map controls I've tried as many suggested, but i'm not able to clear the default key mapping by pressing B, then Exit. All I get is a lot of buttons mapped for a unique action, J1 Button 1, 2, 3, etc. OR Button 4, 5... Is the 'Exit' key the top left black button? And the 'B' key the top white button, isn't it? Is there an easier explanation of how to map the buttons correctly? My desired assignement is Coin - Button 4/Exit - Button 5/Y - Button 6 / B Start - Button 1/Option - Button 2/A - Button 3 / X And another doubt: The changes are supposed to be done WITH iCade working? I mean, when we talk about B and EXIT we are talking of the iCade respective buttons? Thank you guys
I was at this FOREVER yesterday. I've come to the conclusion that if you need to clear the button mapping, you should either delete the .cfg file, or use the touch controls to clear the button before the iCade is connected. Then, use the iCade to map the buttons you'd like. Someone, please correct me if I'm wrong...
The app is associated to the iTunes account it was downloaded with. Your only option is to configure your friend's iTunes account in your phone so that you could install his app. This would mean having two iTunes accounts configured in your phone, having to enter the password every time you sync with iTunes, etc. Your friend must be a real good friend to give you his iTunes account. But anyway, I've read somewhere that you can JB ios 5.0.1, so that's your other option...
Are you being serious? MAME is an emulator. To change the controls in such a way that they're used differently than they were used in the arcades (example: click on Haggar's face in Final Fight to choose him) would mean to reprogram the game completely. I doubt MAME will ever do that.
I understand this restriction with paid apps, but it sucks that you're not allowed to transfer free apps. A lot of my friends have non-jailbroken iPad's and didn't download iMame in time. They all would have LOVED it!
Yes, the question was serious. in the options i can choose between digital and analog controls. the games haven´t been programmed for analog controls, but it´s possible too. At this jerky, not fullscreen version, of 1942, in capcom arcade relative touch is possible and it seems to be an emulator too. Did they reprogramm the whole game just for touch control? And they haven´t been able to give us a non jerky fullscreen game? hey you capcom devs, I payed for this game and all i got was a crap version of this fantastic game.
I'm in the same situation. I saw the sale on the iCade on deal sites, and my awesome wife had a 20% off coupon. Then today I realized I still had a copy of iMame, Googled around, and found this thread. Thanks to all of the people on this thread who have offered up good advice- you all rock!
