iPad iMAME (iOS iMAME4ALL in App Store) by Jim VanDeventer

Well the problem is since the app isn't on the app store anymore, it's not there to transfer the app. And they are both my devices so there aren't issues of account, I just don't have an authorized computer here to backup my apps on and transfer to the iPad. It won't be a problem at home but I was just hoping there was a way to transfer imame from my iPhone to my iPad without iTunes.

 

Anyone managed to get the Cinematronics vector games (like Star Castle) to work? Changing color depth doesn't seem to do it, and the games just appear blank (though the "tab" menu still draws fine).

 

I just hope it's back on the app store to benefit from updates.
I don't really want to jailbreak my ipad2,although with all the emulators it's tempting!
I wish I had the programming skills these guys have,to help.

 

Well, thanks to the recommendations (and help) from Jonbazookaboz and others I have now become a shooter fan.
Are the cave iOS iterations of some of these games any good? I am considering putting down my hard earned pounds on them but would like some advice on what to buy first. Also, they must have unlimited credits like in MAME......because I'm fairly shite at em TBH

 

This app is so awesome, it just convinced me to go out and buy an iCade. I had no intention of doing so before iMAME came along, but this app is just too sweet with the iCade - I had to buy it!

 

The cave apps are of the highest quality. No icade though. Dodon, galuda and deathsmiles are amazing.

 

My iCade arrived this very minute! Pretty huge package. Can't await some imamesation!

 

For shooter fans. Check out lightning fighters. Konami s answer to Raiden. Very sweet and awesome coop mechanics too.

For fight fans. Check muscle bomber duo. It has haggar from final fight in it. Also for a laugh 'main event' 4 player wrestling has fun speech samples

 

All the cave games are simply excellent,and worth every penny!
The touch controls make playing the games smooth,fluid and give you the precision you need in bullet hell shooters.
As good as imame is,it's controls are not the best for shmups.
Continues/credits are available to.

 

Anybody Play BIOMECHANICAL TOY? What a sick busy game! I'll put together a sweet long game list for you newbz later. Been testing a lot of games the last few days.

Altered Beast works but its too slow. Shame. I got the app store version with the crappy controls though. lol

Just to let you know that UN Squadron DOES work, but, crashes after a couple of mins of play....
Also one of my faves fantasy zone doesn't work either!
Im running on an ipad2......

 

Fantasy Zone works for me. The one which has (Japan New Vers.) works

PLEASE HELP!!

i went into the MAME menu (coin+start) and input general and accidentally changed the first button. I think its the MAME menu button because i cant get into the menu anymore. i believe i changed it to 1 tab?? is there a way to reset this?

 

The same happened to me. The solution is pretty easy: Fire up iExplorer on Mac or PC, connect iDevice via USB and delete default.cfg in the iMAME's cfg folder. Restart iMAME (it will create a new file default.cfg).

On the ipad the controlers are to big for my taste.

 

iCade on sale for $49.99 at bed bath and beyond. I thought i got a good deal by picking one up for $69.99 on amazon.com last week.
