if there was just some way to get the output from the -listinfo option from imame we could generate a .dat file and audit the compatible roms with clrmamepro.

For those interested in what sets were added to Mame4All post 37b5, the GP2X version's changelog lists which sets were added (and from which later version of MAME): http://franxis.zxq.net/mame4all.html

(There are no ROMs linked above, if there is any question.)

Hey guise, how do i put pokemans rom on mame?

JK - In other news, I've updated to 5.0.1 for the untethered jailbreak, and much to my surprise, Mame4all and all of the additional roms I moved into the documents folder were restored without a hitch. I have no need to install the JB version now, this is way more conveneint having all of my roms and settings preserved :)

oh thanks that is good to know.

i found a .dat file for imame4all at:
    http://code.google.com/p/imame4all/downloads/detail?name=iMAME4all-1.10-1.deb&can=2&q=
you have to download the .deb file and open it with 7zip and go to var/mobile/Media/ROMs/iMAME4all/clrmame.dat

copy this file somewhere on your system and you can load it into clrmamepro to audit your rom directory.

i used the guide here to see how to do this in clrmamepro:
    http://www.retroroms.net/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=5
(look for the section called "Using ClrmamePro to Check\Fix\Arrange your ROMs")

scanning my mame4all set clrmamepro reports:

so i have a good set for imame4all as done by seleuco.

what i don't know is if the clrmame.dat file includes the changes from the gp2x/wiz/caanoo version.

i am looking for a .dat file from that fork.

    EDIT:

    this link says:

    http://code.google.com/p/imame4all/wiki/WikiHelpCredits

so i think the clrmame.dat file is good for imame including the updates from Franxis' MAME4ALL 2.5

The GP32 version includes the artwork for Discs of Tron (in the old format which MAME no longer supports, but which the handheld versions still use).

    http://dl.openhandhelds.org/cgi-bin/gp32.cgi?0,0,0,0,5,1070

You only need the dotron.zip file in the artwork folder. Set color depth to Auto for Discs if using the artwork, otherwise it may crash your device.

I got Time Pilot and Gyruss working with both an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2 and it literally drew me back in time to hours I spent in arcades in the early 80's. This is awesome.

ok i went through that webpage and checked against the clrmame.dat file from the post:
    http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2068968&postcount=625

i can confirm all the additions from Franxis' MAME4ALL up to and including 2.5 are in the dat file.

so if anyone wants a complete set for imame you can use the clrmame.dat file to audit your set for accuracy.

thanks to seleuco for providing the clrmame.dat file in his distribution!

So this list then is complete and correct: http://code.google.com/p/imame4all/wiki/GameList

Almost had a heart attack when I saw all the other games listed in the driver.cpp file!
Does this mean they can be added at some time?

Great work though, has to be my favourite app!

Some really good Football (soccer) games that won my heart over as a youngster are available.

The best being Tehkan World Cup (sensi/kick off) type and also....

Hat-trick-hero/Football Champ/Euro Champ 92 (same game different titles depending on where you live) were you can punch and foul your way thru the match and even get sent off if you do it in front of the ref!

Certainly brought back great memories for me :)

seems like the best device for playing mame roms would be jxd s7100, android tablet with emulation software preinstalled and with jpad and buttons, has someone tried it?
