If you turn on the FPS counter you can see that even when Metal Slug slows down it's still running at 60 frames per second. Obviously the slowdown is in the game itself, not in the emulation.
Can anyone please tell me what I need to do to have 4 buttons when holding my iPhone horizontally ? Edit: nevermind I just found out there are 2 invisible buttons in the lower middle of the screen. BTW thanks a lot to the persons who made this possible. ^_^
help.. did any one try these two.. files name are forgottn & uccops. I have tried all the version I can find none of them work right..
yea forgotten worlds crashes for me too using v37b5 rom so that sucks i don't think the sound rom was decrypted for some irem games until mame version .53 including undercover cops, in the hunt, hook, r-type leo, etc. so no sound for those. remember imame is based on the old mame version .37b5 so some game drivers were incomplete back then. also toaplan games like fire shark, vimana, dogyuun, etc. have encrypted sound chips so no sound there either.
Does anyone manage to get games like Alex Kidd, Toki or Mortal Kombat to work? And is there anyway to reset the whole preferences? (not just controls, but filter, video, etc). Thanks.

alex kidd (set1) and toki (us) run very slow for me. really unplayable. maybe it is the old game driver. but if u use alex kidd (set2) and toki (bootleg) they are playable. mortal kombat (rev 1.0 08/08/92) seems to run fine for me.

Is there any way to select the options without using the gui? Still getting the app crashing when I try to select the options menu on my ipad2. I'd like to try the icade mode but can't select it as the option menu keeps crashing.
I've got an icade and when it's on, iMame automatically picks it up. Been playing lots of games on it
Rolling Thunder Hang-On OutRun Kangaroo Gauntlet Defender Zaxxon Contra Some of my favorites Working. I don't know about yall but I think RollingThunder was one of the best old school games made. The graphics, gameplay and soundtrack was the best imo. Trying to access the Options Menu crashes the app on my iPad 1 and 2. Anybody care to post some screen shots of the options menu for me? Thanks
Best shooters i've played so far on imame: Aero Fighters 2 & 3 Batsugun & Batsugun Special Dangun Feveron DoDonPachi Dogyuun Gun Bird R-Type 2 Let me know of any i might have missed. Been playing through them all to make sure they work. I'm really into the japanese shooters, but i'll take what i can get
Did you get Dangun working right? There's a lot of slowdown for me and it's not playable. Did you do anything special to get it playing right?
Yeah it plays fine, no lag and it has sound. I do need the nvram file though as it has the same upside down issues dodonpachi did until i was able to get a generious soul to send it to me
how to "downgrade" a romset....? As some of the posts here show high knowledge about romset-versions maybe someone can tell me if this will work if you have the current MAME (including the current romset) on a PC: - make a backup copy of current MAME (including current romset) - load MAME 0.35 from the MAME website & install it - load MAME.exe (from the installed 0.35-version) into the clrmamepro profiler - produce a 0.35-profile with clrmamepro - use the rebuilder in clrmamepro to produce a 0.35 romset based on the 0.35 profile - load the produced 0.35 romset to iMAME I've spent a lot of time with MAME in the past, but never tried "downgrading" a romset. So any input is welcome - don't want to waste hours of trail and error just before christmas if this plan is doomed to fail in the first place....
