Iv'e been wanting an iPad ever since it came out, but right now mostly the iPad 2. I can care less about the iPad 3.

I'm willing to sell my iPod Touch 4th gen 8gb fully functional, clean, and only usual small scratches that'd you'd always find on a iPod on the back of it, but not many anyways.

What do you guys think I can get out of it on Ebay? Over $160? Would people pay more if I jailbreak it (factory settings, but with cydia on it), or should I leave it as it is (everything factory settings of course)?

Also.. I'm probably going to sell my white Xbox360 with 2 White and 1 Black Wireless remotes, 4 games (Halo 3, Red Dead redemption, GTA 4, and Crackdown 2). It's about a year old but I haven't used it too often. Nothing really dirty on it, it's pretty well clean. Same thing with the controllers too. I don't know what type of Xbox360 model it is, but it's like the original one with the HDD hard-drive on it.

How much do you guys think the whole Xbox360 console with the controllers and games can go for on Ebay too?

All together this can go for around $200+ dollars right?

I'm looking to use this money with the rest of my cash to buy a used iPad 2 for what it sells right now on Ebay, $350.

So what do you guys think I can get out of my iPod and Xbox360 items on ebay? :) I need an iPad for my life to be complete! ahh

You should be able to sell your iPod Touch for $150 at the very least, probably closer to $200. Yes people will pay more if you jailbreak it, there's a small risk involved in jailbreaking it though, so make sure you know what you're doing.

I don't know how much the 360 and games will sell for but in total I'd imagine you'd get at least $200, probably a bit more.

Oh and if you "can care less about the iPad 3" then why are you so certain that you want an iPad 2? Think about it :p

I reckon you could sell your iPod on eBay for 150-175. I know that you said you could care less about an iPad 3, but IMO I think if it's $100 extra I'd go for it. It's got 4 times extra pixels, so it's very detailed.
    Just my opinion though.
    Edit
Those games will get 15-20 each if you go to jbhifi, and the console would get around 200-250 and the remotes if they are in perfect condition would get 40/50 each.

    What do you mean hbhifi?

Also my parents cant afford much money right now that's why I can't really get the iPad 3.

I'd probably get around $300 for all my stuff, and they'd have to chip in $100 with me to get me an iPad 2. And chipping in $200 is something they can't afford right now as my dad isn't getting much business in his photography studio.. and my mom is jobless from keemo. So.. yeah.

To be honest I don't need the retina THAT bad so I don't care really. The iPad 3 doesn't have like major changes.

My suggestion is that you go on Amazon, search for 4th gen iPod, then look at the Used prices and compare condition to yours. This helps massively.

What does refurbrished look like? Does everything still work? I'm planning on jailbreaking my new iPad 2 so I'm scared if I buy someone's old ipad 2 that's refurbrished can be partially broken and screw up my JB process.

Oh, we'll its one of the best electronic stores in Australia (and I think New Zealand). It sells games, movies, tvs, pcs etc.
Don't make the same mistake I made. I bought an iPad 1 a few months before, because I thought it would be the same. But I was definitely wrong. Just save up more money, because if you do see the iPad 3 and what it can do, you'd be pretty shattered if you bought an iPad 2 and then considered buying the iPad 3.

Wow thanks a bunch Sanuku, also is refurbished basically a used product but cleaned up with new parts replaced, better than a used product you'd find on ebay?

I see. Sadly my xbox games only sell for around 10 dollars each on ebay. But since i got like 3 remote wireless controllers and an xbox360 too, i can probably be able to sell all of it for about $150 as a bundle. and my ipod touch for around 160-170.

I got a question: so if I jailbreak it if ios 5.1 jailbreak untethered comes out, how much do you think people would buy it for? less or more, and by how much do you think? Sorry if you already asked this, just want to confirm your opinions :)

And I'd probably get more money since I actually have the original accessories that came with the box too right? I have the box and everything that it came in still!

I also have the original iPod Mini 1st gen that is green just exactly like this, but more cleaner:
    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/16/Green_ipodmini_1stgen.jpg

I don't know if it's valuable yet but it's probably a nice collector's addition, but I still got it's original accessories and packaging (box) too with no rips/tears :), all really clean.

So.. I'm probably going to get rid of all of this next weekend on Ebay and gather my cash up. Also if any of you are interested in buying it from me via Ebay too, just PM me for info on any of my items.

I got my iPad 2 soon after launch and its been a fantastic device. I did look at the 3 but considered it an incremental upgrade that I could do without. My cousin now has a 3 and I've used it at length. I have to say, my opinion hasn't changed at all. You certainly wont be "shattered" to see what the 3 can do over the 2, I've yet to see anything relevant to me in that regard.

I will say this for the iPad 3, the retina display is very nice, and when web browsing there's less need to zoom to make small text legible etc. (this alone means I'll be buying a 3 rather than 2 for my mother as I'd rather she didn't have to bother with minor inconveniences).

If you really want to take photos with your iPad you need your head examine.... er, the 3 is a big improvement on that front.

Really, all the iPad 3 has is a better screen.mand the iPad 2 already has a good enough screen. :)

Let's not forget that the iPad 3 is getting Siri with ios 6...and that it has twice the RAM and a very beefy GPU.

If you don't care to much about reading, gaming, or Siri then save the $100, though I personally wouldn't do it.

What a ridiculous statement. You can enjoy any iOS game just fine on the iPad 2

iPad 2′s A5 chip outperforming both the A5X and Tegra 3 with the A5X’s improved graphics going largely towards powering the new iPad’s high-resolution Retina display of 3.1 million pixels.

Siri is NOT a reason to get an iPad 3, it barely works on the 4S.

I beg to differ. Siri is a huge benefit to getting the iPad 3, and a lot of people do find it useful. It will also be getting major improvements in iOS 6.

As for gaming, right now an iPad 2 will suffice, however, what developers will probably start to do is make a game in iPad 2 resolution or slightly above, add some AA, and then a bunch of extra effects that aren't possible with the A5. Besides, I actually enjoy NOVA 3 more with retina then with heat distortion from my gun barrel, it runs almost as smooth and looks unbelievably better. I always have he option of switching, but I rarely do :p

Edit: the ram is also very handy. I can heavily mod GTA 3 with 1 gb of ram at my disposable, while with 512 mb I suspect it will start to crash.

  19. I'm a visual person, and to be quite honest, I can't use an ipad 2, because of the lack of a retina screen. I use my ipad mostly for web browsing and games, and in both, I can't live without a retina screen.

The other features, are nice, but the main thing to me is the retina screen, and while some can do without it, not me. I can't stand the thought of looking at a non retina screen. Even when I look at most laptops nowadays, I'm not interested because of the screen resolution.

Also, I watch tv on my ipad once in a while, and those shows in hd look wonderful.

I do think the ipad 4 will be great though. It will have the retina screen, and have a beefier cpu/gpu, more disk space, and I think it will be a solid upgrade to the new ipad.
