Well, not quite, but we do have an interesting story to add to lore of Apple app submissions. At least all's well that ends well. This one is about our newest app, Santa's Run (original game thread here: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=32251). As background, we submitted SR a couple weeks ago. Then, last Friday, we received an email from Apple saying that SR was rejected because our logo might infringe on Apple's copyrights. We responded by saying that we received a similar rejection for our previous app, Chasing Colors, and had fixed it by making our logo look like a generic device, rather than an iPhone, and CC had been approved after we made that change (and SR includes the same logo as the previously approved CC). This past Monday, Apple said, okay, re-submit SR and we'll expedite the review, which we hoped to mean that they accepted our explanation and would not reset their review cycle for SR. After we re-submitted the same binary as before, we waited a few days to check on the status of their "expedited" review. Yesterday, they replied to our email basically saying, 'what expedited review of SR?' As we prepared our response (including copying their previous emails), less than five minutes later, we received a separate email from iTunes Connect saying SR had been approved. Then, a few hours later, we got another follow-up email from the initial reviewer (who said no expedited review) saying that the system shows that SR had been approved. Not sure where the disconnect in communication occurred, but we are sure glad that SR was finally approved, since it should be as if it were never rejected in the first place. Whew! Needless to say, that changed the tone of our weekend.
