Hey guys and girls! I was looking at this blond comedian named ijustine on youtube who talks about the Apple store in California and other apps on her iphone. Her videos are amusing, some of them are obviously set up as sketches and do make me laugh. What makes me mad is the disgusting comments that some men make on her videos!! There is one she has entitled "Best game ever" or something like that and wow..the comments are on her mouth. They allude with a "mouth like that, it deserves..." I'm not going to finish the sentence because it's downright nasty and disrespectful to a woman!!

I can only wonder what this girl thinks of these comments. I'm sure she expects some of them but she must recoil in horror at some of them! It's like these guys were raised in a zoo or an insane asylum. Who raised these obnoxious bozo's? Makes me so annoyed! I'm a gay woman but I would NEVER say some of the lewd and gross remarks some of these people write. sure she is drop dead gorgeous but she's also very funny, smart and looks like a great person. When these people make those totally disgusting comments, that's just straight up disrespecting another human being. ugh

Anyone see ijustine's videos on youtube or agree with me?

never seen her videos, will check them out later. Although when you post something on youtube everyone can see it but not everyone comments, those who would say "oh thats funny! great vid" usually keep quiet, and the rest are those who you were talking about, stupid kids and adults who enjoy making nasty comments and can't empathize with the people on the other end making the videos.

But those who watch youtube every once in a while realize how much crap the comments usually are, If seen neo-nazis, geeks with annoying facts saying how poorly something was made even thought they could never create something remotely similar, and just trolls who enjoy being assholes

    That's my two cents.

P.S: Also depends on the video, I made a scrubs compilation and all of the commenters were really nice and gave good reviews and asked about the episodes etc. But then if you are watching something about the EZLN you can expect some hard core communists and some neo-nazis, even though that's not really what the EZLN is about.

Well, if you've seen some of the things people say about others then it would make sense that people are nasty little people on youtube. History shows that people will pounce on eachother whenever possible. If you've seen TA members (ahem, pablo, ahem. J/K!) and how they respond to terrible threads started by new guys, then you'd understand what I mean, which I'm sure you already did long ago. What bothers me the most though is when comments become racist, sexist, etc. No one should think they have the right to insult someone else. Lest they have some sort of "permission" or the person literally asks to be insulted, then they should shut their mouths. That's why I like TA; people aren't butts.

Oh, and you don't just happen to be ijustine do you?

good thing you corrected yourself, cause I was kinda surprised at your comparison with TA. When was the last time I flamed a new guy? I just don't post in those threads anymore and let other people take care of it, but that is a completely different situation in comparison to youtube.

I was JOKING. You got that right? OK, but still, some TA members will go for an extreme flaming. Not as extreme as comments on Metacafe or Youtube, but still harsh.

Oh, good. I almost thought for a second that you didn't get it.;)

The worst comments though come from the members who assume they are immune from banishment. You know who I mean, right? If you don't, then that's okay too. In any case, they say whatever they feel like even if it's racy or offensive.

LOL! No, I'm a 42 year old black, white , native american and latina woman so I'm afraid not.

I do TOTALLY agree with you about youtube, people say things that are so nasty because being on the internet is a "filter". Hopefully they wouldn't dare say that to someone they are standing in front of but I know some would. The homophobic, sexist and racist comments are simply awful and it amazes me that people just think they have a sense of entitlement to casually type them in.

I'm sure those mental midgets wasn't thinking of ijustine as a person but as an object or as a joke. It's really sad.

I said this in another post..I used to visit another ipod touch/iphone forum when I first got my beloved Ipod Touch 2 gen 3 weeks ago and was really put off by the overwhelming childish and meanspirited comments. They are not anything I haven't heard before but that's not the point. I feel comfortable reading and being a part of the TA community because there seems to be really cool people here, adults and not a bunch of kids talking about stealing apps/games. Thanks guys and girls.

I'm glad you like TA. I'm personally a 14 year old guy who thinks that online communities should be like families to eachother. They shouldn't try to put eachother down, but rather to lift them up and welcome them. And I just sounded more new-agey than I ever have in my entire existence. I believe that it matters not who you are, but that people hold open arms for you regardless. I know many conservatives tend to think otherwise. "Ewww, their gay." Definitely not how I feel. I love people no matter what, unless they're people like Hitler.

There are a lot of people in the world, and at least 10% of them are perverts. About 30% of americans have a youtube channel, so thats 100 million youtube channels. With 10% perverts, thats 10 million. And lets say men make up 33% of people, that means that there are 3.33 million perverted american men on youtube. Some of them are bound to watch videos of young women and they are bound to say some stupid things... You've just gotta put up with that.

It's people like this who let these comments affect them, that's what's wrong with society

There are bad people in this world

Build a bridge. Get over it.

P.S. Comments like those are made by 13 year olds

"It's people like this who let these comments affect them, that's what's wrong with society">>>>

    >>>No, it's the people who are MAKING the comments that is wrong with society. Not fair to judge someone who is emotionally affected by a comment. You dont' know that person, perhaps it makes them have a flashback or just simply get annoyed. Nothing wrong with that. I never said it's the end of the world but I have the freedom to speak my mind just like you do.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone knows that. Lord knows I have experienced enough these 42 years on this earth but it's ok to vent too. Of course kids make those comments AND full grown people too. Society is messed up for sure..that's life.

    I see what your saying

I've seen ijustine vids and I agree she's funny , my fave one is the humburger one =). I agree it is disgusting what people say about her but too bad it's nothing we can do anything about. besides only reason they say stuff like that is because either they're pervertedand can't get a girl or they just wanna be mean. I'll admit I sometimes post stuff that's mean or nasty for no reason other than I just feel like it . It's in our nature to be like that you know.
Sorry but that's the way it is.
Edit: man I h8 typing on the iPod it doesn't let me type my thoughts well, what I meant towards the end is that some of us guys just say nasty or mean stuff for no reason , for the hell of it

Well, he's half right. You don't have to be affected by these comments. You don't have to care. But you do. Sometimes you just have to accept that other people can be weird, and go along with your life. You don't know those people, you don't know anything about them, yet you take time to read their comments, to pay attention to what they say. Just like you're reading this. When you come across bad things, ignore them and move on. When there's something good, you can remember that and keep it with you.

All that deep stuff coming from a 14-year-old kid who lives in California.
