Hey guys, This app isn't really new, but it was our first app and was recently featured in the September 2009 issue of Men's Health (Page 56, Six-Pack Apps article)! So to celebrate and because we love this forum and the users here, we're giving away 20 promo codes! But to ensure that it's real TA users that are getting the codes, I won't be posting them publicly here. All you have to do is post to this thread and say you want a code and the first 20 to do so will receive a code via PM. So how does iHeartRate work? After entering your profile information, simply take your pulse with one hand and use the other hand to tap the iHeartRate button on the screen. After that, your calorie burn will be calculated in real-time, along with your current Target HR Zone. I built this because I needed a HR monitor for P90X (which is great, BTW) but didn't want to spend money on an expensive HR monitor. This app isn't so great when you're running or cycling, but works great when placed on a table that you can come back to in between sets during the video. Here's the link to iHeartRate in the App Store: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=315811939&mt=8 If you like it or even find it remotely useful, we could really use the reviews! Thanks and much appreciated!
Hi, I'd like a code too, been dieting and working out for the past 4 months and this app would help me a lot! Cheers
Sent and sent! Hope you both find it useful. Mawk, best of luck to you on your fitness plan! I, myself, have lost 35 lbs this year thanks to working out and dieting as well so I know how you feel.
Definitely interested, doing P90X myself when I do kempo and plyo I was always missing this and never knew if I was in 'the zone'
Sent, sent and sent! Kuznagi, P90X rocks, eh?? Make sure you input your entire physical profile (including Resting HR - very important!). Then it'll be able to calculate your calorie burn and most importantly, your Target HR range. When doing the kempo, cardio or Plyo workout, I try to stay in the aerobic/anaerobic zones. Of course, when doing Plyo, sometimes I peak in the V02MAX zone, which can be dangerous if you're there too long...
Yeah it does, I've nearly compleyed 2 full 90 day cycles but I've been lazy recently. I also tried P90X+ but it doesn't seem as fun except I love doing circuits + as I switch it with pylo. Thx for the code!
