IGN Top 25 iPhone Games (revamped as of Sept 8, 2010)

Wheres tony hawk pro skater 2, solomans keep, cod zombies, cubed rally racer, jet car stunts, rayman 2, solipskier and sword and poker?

 

Top games and game ratings should really be done by genre. It doesn't make sense to compare Spiderman with Drop7 or Flight Control, for instance.

 

Jet Car Stunts, Land Air Sea Warfare, and Tilt to Live probably should have made the list.

 

WHERE IS SUPER QUICK HOOK ? Easily one of the best games on the platform...
osmos is far superior on the ipad...

 

Drop7 showed us that the Match 3 genre isn't dead. It brought something new and creative.

What the hell... Flight Control IS the original line drawing game. I don't see how anyone could not enjoy it.

 

OSMOS is far better on my 24 inch pc screen.

Hook Champ was the OG version, so I guess they went with that.

My pick probably would've been Hook Champ as number #1. Insanely original, completely defines iOS.

Sarcasm, my good man! Canabalt definitely deserves to be up there in the top 25, though.

 

I love drop 7, but two is a bit high. I'd rather see it at 4 or 5.

Jet car stunts should be 1. Hook Champ should be in the top 5 somewhere, at the very least top ten. Pix'n Love Rush is way too high. I like it, but higher than GTA or Hook Champ? Where is Tilt To Live? TTL deserves top ten at the least.

Osmos (for iphone) as number one is straight up jank.

 

Perhaps the list was backwards and they really thought Spider-Man was the best game

So you see similarities between Spiderman and Flight Control and you feel they can easily be compared?
To me the only similarity is they both run on the iPhone, and no comparison is possible.

 

Looking at this list, I only have Street Fighter 4, Plants VS Zombies, NOVA and NFS: Shift. I wonder if I should look into some of these other games?

 

What are you doing without GTA?! Go get it now!

And what's GTA doing that low on the list!? Really? It's not as good as some number game, or a game where you tie a rope around a wooden object?! One of the most comprehensive and in-depth games I've ever played on the iPhone, not better than a game where you wrap rope around a piece of wood... I just don't get it.

And where's Phoenix Wright?!

 

GTA is good, but the driving controls kinda suck.

Phoenix wright is a great game, but the port is pretty bad.

The controls aren't that bad. They could be better, but they're perfectly usable.

Phoenix Wright is one of those games that's so good that even a crappy port couldn't ruin it. Then again, I did like the way it was ported (lagginess aside). It was nice and easy to play using one hand, which when going back and playing Ace Attorney Investigations, was one of my few gripes with playing it on the DS.

And I'll second everything that da shiz wiz said, aside from apologizing for yelling.

 

Still cant believe Oregon Trail is on there lol. I mean, it was ok like a million years ago when people didn't know any better.
