172 entries. Most of them are iphone/touch games, yeay. My favourite is Enviro Bear 2010. I think they have good chances! http://www.igfmobile.com/index.html IGF is the independet games festival. They usually have great indie games there ... I entered my game, because I love the indie concept... cheers, brof
Some of the games look amazing, although I don't think they are even out! I've searched for them but I can't find them. I hope your game becomes a finalist!
There are some games there I want to know more about: Radio Flare REDUX, Big Mountain Snowboarding, Entranced, and Equalized
So it is. Interesting. Never noticed it before. That's probably my biggest gripe of 100,000+ games. You can check this site every day for 1 1/2 years and still miss treasures.
Radio Flare REDUX will be released early 2010. We're currently mostly working on the level design. I'll post some details about the game here in the forums, soon. Update: Details posted in this thread.
There are a lot of great games on that entry list, and it feels good to see that our game is being noticed Sometimes it's hard to get people to know your game, although we think we have a rather unique concept. At the moment we are working hard on getting Equalized release-ready. Although we already submitted our game to the IGF, we are still tweaking the music analysis part. This music analysis is responsible for getting the music and level in sync. Just now we are starting to see that people are actually interested, so expect some more information and updates about Equalized soon! Thanks for noticing!
on Jannuary 22nd the finalists will be announced... I hope Avoid Hitting Piano will be considered in the Art category... good luck to the other competitors! cheers
Finalists announced. Good if not great games... http://www.igfmobile.com/10mobilefinalists.html I think I like Hook Champ most... cheers,
Great games on the list but my only gripes is I don't see The Creeps anywhere, that game is really addicting and deserves a spot IMO.
the only thing that I don't like about them is, that too many indie devs go and try to replicate mainstream games... they don't bring anything new to the table... they look and feel samey to me...
yes, I meant the games do not have much of an indie perspective or personality. The gameplay is fine, the looks are slick, but I am looking for experiences, especially if it is indie. The PC side is different though... so I hope that Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP do get a price...
Spider, Hook Champ, drop7... my 3 favorite iphone games and Lit Line deserves the audio award so bad its absurd
